Cause we are going to war.
With both the Congresses of America and Mexico debating a NE against each other, we better get ready.
Blood will be shed.

What is there to gain?

America
*after the Poland issue, the armies of America needed a new enemy at their boarders......and Mexico fit the bill
*also, if America gets what it wants, there is the chance of America getting back it's 100/100 bonus on food.

Mexico
*If tiny little Mexico can withstand the Ameircan onslaught, then the country will finaly prove that they are as good as any other eRepublik nation

The forces of battle

America
*being able to field such a large army anyways, most of the fighting on the American side will be done by herself, not allies. Expect volunteers to not be big in these battles, UNLESS other major countries start the interfer.

Mexico
*while able to field a good sized army, it alone will not be able too stop the American onslaught. Expect Mexico's allies to send troops to support Mexico as volunteers.

This war will end in 1 of 3 ways, all depending on how the world reacts to these 2 countries going to war.

Scenario 1
*small world response, it's seen as a local conflict
If this is how the world was to react to the war, then Mexico would be on the short end of the stick. Simulations show anywhere from 50% to all of Mexico falling under American control.

Scenario 2
*huge world response, it's seen as a hotspot for the alliances America and Mexico are in.
If the world response in this manner, this war could quicky become a hot potato contest, with both sides gaining and losing, gaining and losing, turning this into a globle problem.

Scenario 3
*medium world response, it's seen as a theater of war for the alliances America and Mexico are in.
If the world response in this manner, the war would be dragged out a little longer, but America would still rise as the winner. Mexico would suffer economically for their defeat, and the world moves on and continues to kill one another.

Which ever scenario plays out, the US-Mexico region will never be the same.
