avidya asmita raga dvesha abhinivesha pancha klesha – Yoga Sutra by Patanjali, Sadhana Pada, Sutra 3

Perhaps you are tired of those countless “motto” I gave you from Yoga Sutra, but … HEY, I got this nick and I mean it.

First, a bit of philosophy, to better understand why we play games.
I know philosophy could be … weird and annoying but, I believe, this is the only way to explain life and, ultimately, the reason of our existence, so … indulge me and take what you think that fit you.

When we are born, we are Souls (I recently learn that in hindi Purusha mean Man, Human, but in ancient Sanskrit it was Soul, and referred to all souls, of every living).
First thing we do when we arrive in this world is to make a distinction, between us (the I emerge) and the rest, what is not I. This distinction is caused by our experiences.
We could find that cold is unpleasant and cold (reasonably warm) is pleasant (like the heat of our mothers breast, that feed us too), and from that moment we could perceive that it is Us that perceive that feelings, and it is a world surrounding us.
That process continue with the Biggest fault of our life, the one named Avidya, hence Ignorance.
This mean that we forget about our high nature as Spirits and tend to became a living being (not Humans, to attain that status we have to run all over the path of our lives and to find ourselves).
I will not develop further, because I’m addressing to Indians and I presume you are all aware about all or parts of this Truth.

The next step is the one that lead us to the feeling of the I-ness, “Asmita the one” have nothing to do with that (because in time the meaning of Asmita in Bengali changed dramatically) and this lead to the natural conclusion of Raga, attraction and Dvesha, repulsion to the world (persons, things) that surround us.

Finally, because we experience the pleasure of life, we don’t want let it go and this is the birth moment of the last color, Abhinivesha, wich consist in resistance to ending of it, the will to continue (like an eternal life), the fear to death and annihilation of this I.

Here began the story of Games
In a Game we are … immortals, especially in a virtual reality.
Weird, yet, I notices, in the short time since I play eRepublik, that some of us have died. In RL I mean, still, them accounts in this game could go on.

A game, like anything in Life, could provide pleasure ... or not, depending on how you are ... fit for it.
Some like to play Poker, others like to play ... Chess. Others do not play anything.
After all, Life is already an enough complicated game.

Games are not always (generally) fair, because everyone want to earnt something (immortality, in some form).
Either to be the Champion, or the one with high spirit quotes, or the one that understand all and give advices, or the one that changed and shake the World, or the one that ...
No matter what we pursuit in a game, we want others to remember us, because this is a kind of … immortality. That make us feel alive and kicking.

To be important and considered, that is what new players want too
I know, they where not here when we came in this game and we got no welcoming party, but I’m not very aware about the psychology of Indians of today, nor about what they could consider desirable or not.

I will end this with an approximate quote from Bismarck, The Chancellor of Germany, paragoning the Balkans to India (because I could better understand Balkans)
“Balkans produce more History than they are able to digest”

If this is the case with India too, then we must turn to basic and deep feelings to have a true Baby Boom in eIndia and to make her the greatest power in this … unfortunate eWorld.

Meri shubhkaamanaaye aapke saath hai !

PS
The song in … Namaste, is a everlasting Hit from Yugoslavia (containing Serbia, Croatia, Macedonia, Slovenia, BiH and Montenegro) and a song with high influence in all Balkans. It is a Love song, like Jai Ho, and I dedicate this to all of you, with the hoppe that Love will solve all the problems we have in eIndia.
