Funding MU's
Master Lobban Le Rub Klitoris
I have suggested before that the UK government should have the ability to provide funding to those MU's that need help in strengthening their supply infrastructure so that they can continue to equip our citizens with the best weapons possible.
There have been concerns about the government doing this and I would like to address them.
First off the funding of the MU's by the government will not make the MU's 'government owned' or government property, I know it might be hard for some to grasp that the maybe the government should help out its citizens without asking to become complete overlords. The government will however make sure that the funding is being spent properly and that the MU's are following the CP's DO's, if they do not then the MU's will cease to receive funding
The funding strategy that I'm talking about is not like having a National MU were the government dumps most of its money into supplying and buying factories. Instead the funding would be a moderate amount proportional to our monthly revenue.
Granted to have greater affect on the MU's we should raise taxes. We currently have a 5% income tax, this should be raised to 10% (even 15😵
. It may seem like a big increase but at our current job market wages of around £13 it is only £1.3 out of the workers pocket. The daily worker cannot do much with £1.3 but when collected en mass by the government the money can be used to fund MU's supply infrastructure so they can continue to supply and to grow the amount of citizens they can supply.
For the funding to be given out to the MU's the MU's would first have to submit (every month of funding) a list of their current supply infrastructure (and maybe screenshots of it all) and the supplies that they are handing out (Google docs). This way the government can keep tabs on these Mu's to make sure the money is going to growing their MU's supply base. The government will also have to make sure that the people that will be building the infrastructure buildings are committed to the game, the MU, and the UK before giving them the funds.
Some people say that why not just have the citizens go to a bigger MU that seems to be more self-sufficient. However if we let the medium level MU's stagnate and have only a few MU's at the top level that take most of the citizens then there is less competition; the top MU's are not for everybody and the more choice of good MU's are country can offer then the happier and well supplied our citizens/solider the UK will have.
Why should the government let successful MU's, that have created a good community atmosphere and supply distribution system, stop growing just because they don't have the private funds to continue increasing their supply infrastructure?
The funding proposal would be a long term affair and not one were the government puts most of its money into a few months of doing this program. Instead it would be a slow but steady growing of apolitical and worthy MU's that will then be allowed to continue to supply and grow there MU's that people have put a lot of time and effort into.
The government seems to think more short term like spending thousands of pounds on CTA's, which is a nice gesture but a few Q7's are not very effective and once used are gone for good; or when they spent 40,000 on one battle, that money could have been used to fund some Mu's wrm buildings which could have provided wrm for a very long time. The government needs to stop blowing through its money on short term things that when looking at the bigger picture are very meaningless; and it needs to start investing its money in its MU's that will provide long term benefits

its a good idea in theory but the government just doesn't have enough money to make much of a difference
^ That is why taxes need to be moderately increased. I'm not talking about big sums to MU's each month. How can a government say it cant afford it before it understands what MU's need funding? Flat out rejection of plans based on funding before the full details of the necessary spending is done just does not cut it for me.
we make at best 40k a month...
that is why i suggested raising taxes
That would not make anything beyond a marginal dent in revenue, compared to what you are proposing.
Infrastructure takes real money.
Income tax is a tiny amount of our income. Also the UK has at least 300 active users who work in communes so out of our 700 workers/voters, nearly half pay no income tax because they work for the very MUs you want to fund.
This is the fourth different reason this won't work, there are many more reasons too its time to move on, what works in Canada, regardless if how much you like it, is not guaranteed to work here.
Proper MU funding means extreme tax levels if you want to make a real difference and that's before the big bun fight about what indicators we use to peg against funding.
Also (as JamesW points out) we have half our population in slave communes and most of them are based abroad (Poland) so contribute nothing towards and cannot be leveraged by eUK monetary policy.
Terrible idea
