It seems there are some doubts within the population from our country and the foreign about the foreign policy from Portugal towards the Campeche Region an Finland.
1- Campeche
To who does not remember, some Spanish members made a political take-over to Mexico and invited Spain to annex tem, receiving 600 Gold from Spain to declare war to Spain so they could annex them.
There were made several proposals to the Mexican Congress, insisting in all situations a strong opposition from the true Mexicans, which never wanted to be annexed by Spain.
So it was created the "goon menace", which according to the Spanish would terrorize Mexico, took the power (like the Spanish did), and overrun the Spanish Economy.
So a new offer was made to the Mexican Congress, which, with fear from the goons decided to aprove it, leading to the declaration of war to Spain and to all of its allies, creating 3 offensive fronts. One against Spain, as predicted, and the other two against Venezuela and Portugal, which weren't taken into consideration. By this time, the Mexican Government decided (leaded by the Spanish) to make a peace proposal to Venezuela that accepted the proposal, and the other to Portugal, that wasn't accepted, and Portugal engaged in a war against Mexico. In fact, Portugal always had the knowledge that the "goon menace" that would crush Mexico was unreal, has it was proved historically when the goons took power in Mexico without ever crushing politically, economically, military or socially, proving that it was all a big scene created by PMV with the objective to annex Mexico, wanted the raw materials existing in V1.
Portugal since it entered PEACE-GC, always stated being against the intervention of into foreign countries in the politic activity in any country of the world. So it was decided in the name of freedom and the independence of Mexico to step forward to the Spanish invasion, stopping the Spaniard imperialism to annex Mexico.
Since that day, the official Portuguese statement toward the matter of Campeche was always simple - As soon as the Imperialist Spaniard menace clears, being signed the peace between Mexico and Spain, Portugal will peacefully abandon Campeche, that is a region that belongs only to Mexico.
Having recent informations that the dark empire that dominate Spain, there is again a will to "in the name of the Mexicans" to free Campeche by force, Portugal assumes clearly that they will defend the independence of Mexico from this invasior that once again insists to extend his empire.
We all get it what will happen as soon as Campeche is "free", having an active war with Spain. It will be invaded and conquered by the Spanish Imperialism.
We are clearly against such initiative, and by this we will defend the independence of our Mexican brothers, against all the Spanish attacks that occur in the zone.
If Mexico wants to contact us, he should do so through the official channels, or contacting directly the President, which he never did. Every time that Spain wants to discuss matters of foreign policy related to the 2 countries, it should follow the same solution, thing that was never done since PMV took power again.
We call to arms all of the Portuguese people against the Spanish invasior that wants to extend its claws again with the objective to annex all the countries of the free world!
2- Finland
Was you all know, Finland recovered it's independence from Norway, having it's first free elections to the Congress, in the late 25th. Although it is a moment to be happy to all the defenders of freedom of all people, the elections were stained by a reckless attempt of politically takeover by the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), a party created like the image of the Portuguese PRD, finding in this DPP innumerous members of PRD, which, once again demonstrated the lack of respect that they have towards freedom and democracy trying to take control of a country that wasn't theirs, happily it failed.
By coordinating all actions preventing the lost of freedom and independence of all countries, we clearly point the finger not only to the terrorists that acted in Finland with the objective of politically dominate it, but also to the Spanish Terrorists that want to give Campeche their independence so they can annex Mexico in the next move.

For us, All takeovers are to be condemened, as all invasions of free Countries.
If Spain Wants Campeche to be free, on a Free Mexico, just have to sign a peace treaty with Mexico and Portugal will give Campeche back to the Mexicans.
As Long as Spain doesn't sign a Peace Treaty with Mexico, it's clear what are the intentions of Spain i Mexico.

@ Judasz: as long as I know, the reasons why Spain hasn't signed a peace treaty with Mexico are a) it's still not clear if the new order that has taken control of Mexico are or aren't new goons and b) our "ministro de exteriores" is the most incompetent fool in all eRepublik universe.

Your minister incompetence is no excuse for not signing a peace treaty with Mexico. When you say "it's still not clear if the new order that has taken control of Mexico are or aren't new goons" It sounds just like the old lame excuse that lead you into this mess.
It gets as simple as this: Stop the Mexico - Spain war and Campeche returns peacefully to Mexico.
What can be the reasons for not signing peace with Mexico ? Oh, right ! Cause if you sign peace you would have to pay another amount of gold to conquer it (and some other lame excuse also).
Cmon, Its not hard to sign a peace treaty with Mexico... is it ?

@ Arthk: A bug is what have maintained Mexican War actived for so long... BTW, what nowadays impulse some e-spanish people to a war against Portugal is more related to "revenge" and to the cheers of some interested businessman. If the PMV government wants war, they'll not cross the Atlantic and attack Campeche if they simply can cross the street and attack Portugal in its own territory. I have no clue of what the government is gonna do about it, of course, but these are my thougts.

So i guess portugal will wait until the bug as you say is solved and then we can return to the mexicans what is by right theirs. Then we can stop talking about any attemps that the spanish want to believe that portugal is doing some kind of double policy, one to all, and the real one under the desk. So let it be clear for all: Portugal is one of the countries that respects the most the other countries and its people, if we have to stop any form of imperialism we shall do so.

The main problem in all this discussion is that a lot of portuguese e-citizens believe that Spain invaded Mexico in the past as an imperialist plan of world domination or something similar, and that's WRONG. Of course I must admit that spanish president then (the same dumbass who's the 'Ministro of Exteriores' now) had some suspicious interests, but Spain never had the intention of conquering Mexico nor starting an imperialist expansion. That's only the ridiculous propaganda that some governments (like Portuguese) used to justify their militar intervention.
@ Judazs: non vaias dar unha volta polas ramas. O argumento de "invadimos para mante-la paz e a liberdade" é máis vello ca fame, mentres que tuput, con sorte (moita sorte, esperemos que os que manexan as cento e pico multi-contas do PMV fiquen uns días sen internet) deixará de representar aos espanhois nuns días.

Confesso que sempre que Portugal teve divergencias em relação a Espanha, era o PMV que estava no poder, o que não acontecerá por acaso.
Quanto às intenções expansionistas. Não digo que eram de "todos os espanhois", apenas digo que eram do lider de todos os Espanhois, eleito em eleições livres, e que representava a vontade dos Espanhois.
Seria muito bom para Espanha, mas também para o México, Portugal e o mundo inteiro se o PMV desaparecesse de vez da liderança de Espanha. Nesse aspecto estamos, sem duvida, de acordo.
Por desgraza, o PMV non será derribado do poder mentres os admins non se poñan en serio co tema de perseguir as multi-accounts. Porque en Setembro xa lles banearon máis de 100, xunto a algúns dos seus membros máis destacados, pero parece que últimamente "puxéronse ao día" outra vez... calquer análise estadística de rigor revela unha incongruencia enorme entre o seu número de afiliados e os votos que logo acadan nas eleccións.
Qué se lle vai facer, nestes intres teño a desagradable sensación de que a guerra achégase con grandes e rápidos pasos. Deséxovos sorte, porque se usan as multi-accounts para votar, non quepa dúbida de que as botarán contra o muro á mínima oportunidade. As consecuencias a longo prazo serán nefastas.
