Join the new world

Hello eUSA,

While I’m sure some of you already know me, I’m sure most of you don’t. I have received requests from many of the people around me to nationally introduce myself, so that the rest of the enation may come to know me better. I am Mattoze5. I have been on Erepublik since mid-late December of 2008. I originally started playing this game to find people with the same political orientation as myself. Since such people are hard to find in real life. I am a conservative in real life, so it was only appropriate that I joined the RFC (although I have to be honest, when I first joined the game, I was planning on joining the Libertarians.) Shortly after, the name changed to the Conservative Party. I have stayed there ever since. I had decided to run for congress the first chance I had on January 25th 2009. The results did not go too well, and I was pretty upset with Aren Perry for “running at the last minute” and so I ran again in February as well. I got to know him the second time around and now we are friends. After my first run, I continued to run many times in different states, until I eventually ran in Iowa and won. Now I am a Conservative Senator for Iowa. I also am the Chairman of the Infrastructure committee.

I ran twice for PP for the Conservative Party as I have come to know the regulars there quite well on IRC and the Forums. My second run for PP was quite the contest and as I’m sure most of you know, as it created a large amount of national attention. This race helped to pull out of the drudgery and into the spotlight. I struggled quite a bit in the beginning. Not just with a job, but with a food, wellness, and communication. At the time I joined, Benn Dover was president and there was no Meals on Wheels, so there was little help for me. I often had to beg for money or gifts on IRC, in order to get by. I did not truly get out of the essential rut until a war started and I was able to join a party. The more I ran for office the more people began to help and communicate with me.

Soon, I will be taking over as PP of the Conservative Party with the endorsement and support of Desertfalcon. In the meantime I am practicing my administrative skills with the Congressional Elections so that I will be prepared. I hope I will get to know you better, eAmerica. I had hoped to be on the eUS Podcast before the MMC left, but since that was not possible, I am now working on getting an editorial interview. I hope to get more of your questions answered then. Until that time, I sincerely hope you private message me if you want to ask me anything. I am always able to answer within a day.

To the CVP:
The CVP has begun its country president primary, please pay attention and stay posted as to when the voting for this Primary will take place. Also please join me, Desertfalcon and the many other CVP members on IRC channel #cvp3 on Thursday at 9:00 pm EST. I have heard the great discontent of many members about the continuance about DF’s PP position. I am also aware of the creation of a PIP party by former new members of the CVP. Many of these new players were quite respectful, and it is very disheartening to see them go. I would just like to mention how I feel on this subject: Be patient. In RL I am the most impatient person you will ever find. I cannot wait for anything. But now I say that this choice to wait one more month could be the best thing that has ever happened for this party. I urge you all to stay with the CVP and not to run off to the PIP. In a month you will be glad you stayed, I guarantee it 😉
