Feds, let's do this.

It's on.

Let me get this out of the way first- thank you to the guys in #fedpartychat (except Bhero lol). You were rallying members right up to the end. Some of you guys ran ads for me, too. It was a pretty fun night, and I appreciate your support. We're going to need this kind of excitement because I have some big plans and you're all in on it.

As promised, there will be some major staff changes in the Feds. This sounds crazy, but it won't be. We have a lot of qualified people and these party adjustments are no-brainers. We went all of last term with some positions unfilled while you guys were asking to help out. Please get involved on the Fed Forum and start watching for job postings and announcements. I have already started approaching people about taking and leaving positions. This will be cool.

FIRST STAFF ANNOUNCEMENT

Vice President KaraBeth!!!!!!

I have asked KaraBeth to be my Vice President. She's been in the Feds for quite some time and is the master when it comes to fundraisers and organizing. This month is going to be about boosting the status of the Feds, as well as refining our party functions to facilitate our expanding membership. Everyone loves KaraBeth and she is perfect for this job. I am excited to have her on board leading the party.

Why fundraising and organizing will be important this month:

I'm spending pretty much every penny we have on advertising. We have gone way too long without good ad campaigns and I am going to remedy the shit out of that. Because of this, we need to sort out our financial situation. I will be assembling a business/econ team to help secure us financially long-term, but we will also rely on the activity and generosity of our awesome members for more immediate good times. With our higher activity ratio, a little from you can go a long way for the party. I've actually even written a budget of sorts...so srs. KaraBeth is especially good at utilizing resources, so that's what she will be taking a look at as we get rolling.

I already said I am not running again, so I am going to try and make this term as awesome as possible. I want to make sure that whoever takes over next has a LOT to work with. You guys believe in me and I don't take that lightly. We're going to make this happen.

One last note- I want to give a special thank you to the USWP. Their election was locked up and they let people know that our race was close. Maybe you think that's shady, but I think that's pretty awesome. I never thought a day would come where the USWP would support me in an election. The times they are a-changin. For those who are concerned about this outside interest in our election, I would like to direct you to the primaries where I won with 63%. Just sayin. Feds win \o/
