eRepVision Contest 2016

Day 3,003, 06:51 Published in Romania Finland by Alex Antonescu

Hello everyone! I hope you’re having a good day.

As you read from the title, I intend to (and I will, with your help) organize the first edition of eRepVision Contest. In the future editions it will consist in both singing and dancing, but for the first edition I will organize only the singing part.

Being eRepVision and not the Real Life Eurovision, all countries are invited to join the contest.

Steps of the contest:

1. Announcing the Presidents of all countries about the contest by sending them a private message (1-3 days)
2. Presidents shall send me their country’s answer (yes or no in taking part at the contest) and the name of the country’s representative (the one who will organize the regional stage and whom I will talk to regarding contest details). For this step I think 1 week is enough.
3. Organizing the regional stage of the contest (each nation may choose its own way of making the contest, voting and choosing the best singer and may/may not have a jury) in which the singer who will represent the country is chosen (2 months, 2.5 months at most)
4. The representatives send the name of the singer chosen in their country a few days after the Regional Stage
5. There may / may not be Semi-Finals, this depending on the number of countries. Even if there will / will not be Semi-Finals, the Final Stage of the contest will take place somewhere at the beginning of May or end of April

General rules for the songs entering the contest (other rules may be added in Regional Stage):

1. The songs must be sung by one of the players of eRepublik
2. The text of the song and the song can be well-known by the whole community (already released on the market in real life) or can be written by yourself (less likely, but we still encourage originality).
3. If the song chosen is already released, you can try singing it like the original or make your own version of it. No matter what option you choose, have fun.
4. The negative of the song, can be from karaoke found online (you shall provide the representative of the country with the link of the negative).
5. Try not to use apps that change your voice (Remember: You are playing eRepublik to have fun). We would like to listen to your voice, not to apps’ work. You can use apps only for background or backing vocals if you know how.
6. If you want to, you can also compose music on the computer, with the request that the song will not have any human voice in it.
7. You can record the song with any device you want, but usually a phone works excellent.
8. You can post the song on any site you want to.

Rules may be added after discussions with representatives.

The winning country will be rewarded with fame and… 90% of the endorsements (10% will be shared between representatives for their hard work).

Vote the article for visibility, Comment your opinion & Let your friends find out about the article by Shouting it.

Update: Step 1 completed. I've sent messages to all Presidents (I sent the messages to Dictators where they existed).

Update 2: Some countries have accepted the invitation and one country has already written an article related to the contest (the list will be updated):
