Day 2415 of the New World
July 1, 2014

I want to begin by acknowledging the exceptionally great members of eUSA's top Military Units Seal Team 6, United States Armed Forces, and eUS Military. The competition between these three and Easy Company made the last week a truly epic and fun experience. To ST6, USAF, and eUS Mil I say: CURRAHEE!

But now I must toot our own horn a bit. We are a proud lot of soldiers in Easy Company, and for very good reason.

Easy Company was joined this past week by some of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s better members, some of Bear Cavalry's better members, a Black Sheep or two, and some other welcome guests. We adopted a banner on our Forum which reflected our appreciation especially to the two largest groups of guests, SHIELD and BearCav. CURRAHEE!

There were several prizes we identified as being of primary importance to us. Since Easy Company is already an "Elite" MU, that prize was meaningless. However, placing among the top 25 Regiments Internationally meant a prize of $50,000 into our MU account PLUS $250,000 divided up among the 50 members of our Elite Regiment 1 - our Screaming Eagles.

Our Screaming Eagles Regiment placed 16th in the world. So that mission was accomplished.

Our second most desired prize was the rewards issued to members of the four fighting Divisions based on their comparative performance against the same Divisions in their country. The ultimate prize would be to place 1st in all four divisions which would result in the following prizes which would be then awarded to every member of Easy Company:

19 Energy Bars
19 days of Training Grounds discounted at 99% off
19 damage boosters of the "50% for 20 minutes" variety

Division 4:

Our soldiers in all four fighting Divisions came through in 1st place. So that missions was accomplished.

The third most desired prize was the cash awarded into the Military Unit Account based on the number of "points" we won for placing first in all four Divisions. Each first place finish was awarded 5 points. Then, based on the formula POINTS/30 x Kills, we were going to be raking in the cash.

Using those kills as our multiplier, and with 20 points, we were making $0.66 per kill for Easy Company. So that's $266,277 (plus the $50,000) we were awarded.

Another interesting prize was that any regiment which accumulated a certain amount of Prestige Points would be awarded a commensurate amount of increase to the damage dealt by bazookas. This was of great interest to our Screaming Eagles, since for members of that Regiment bazookas are useless. However, at 13x normal damage, a bazooka dealt more damage than a Q7 weapon which meant that the tens of thousands of bazookas our Regiment members had saved up would become suddenly useful.

13x bonus damage for Bazookas. That mission was absolutely accomplished.

Of course eRepublik has gone the way of shiny medals over the past year. So naturally we looked forward to the hardware we would receive on our MU home page.

And there they are. We've got quite a rack now.

So we accomplished every single goal we established for ourselves as a unit.

I did a little bit of further research to see how many of the top scoring regiments come from Military Units which also swept all four Divisions. There are two other MU's which ranked higher than EZC's Screaming Eagles AND swept all four divisions in their respective country's competition.

Congratulations to Argentina's Yaguarete, a 995 member MU which swept all Divisions with their 35 Regiments.

And Congratulations to France's Fusion MU, a unit of 345 members which swept all four Divisions in France.

There were a few other countries that had MU's which swept all four Divisions, but none of them had a Regiment that scored higher than Easy Company's Screaming Eagles. Furthermore, France ranked 20th in the world in overall Damage making Easy Company's achievement seem more impressive compared to Fusion's. Only Argentina's Yaguarete (with their 995 members) scored a more impressive performance than Easy Company. To Yaguarete we say, CURRAHEE!

In fact, Easy Company accounted for a full 1/3 of our National damage last week:
