On August 25th I will be running for a Congress seat in Yorkshire on behalf of the ESO family.

So why trust me with your vote?

Well I do understand that one of the biggest threats we face is from foreign citizens attempting to gain eUK citizenship and trying to ''take over'' the eUK from within. This isn't a threat we can brush aside as it has happened many times before and to many eCountries. This is why in my last stint in Congress i followed the laws set by Congress and did not accept any Citizenship applications without going through the correct channels. Accepting applications without permission or the candidate being properly scrutinised is still happening so do not see this as an issue to be dismissed lightly.
France has signed a treaty with Poland where they have promised there will be no attacks unless provoked on the battlefield by an eUK attack, Canada have a president who genuinely wants an end to the on/off war with us. Germany at this point in time is happy not to make war with the eUK. Ireland seemed to be very warm to the idea of closer relations with us, this is possibly the chance of a golden time for the eUK.
That is why you must vote for candidates who will follow official procedure and not allow hostile rogue elements into our society.

We have seen in the eUK and Canada especially how rogue Congressmen can use their proposals in a way that can harm the eUK's reputation. Again this is another area where i have a spotless record. I am not another drone but i am not another representative who is not willing to put the eUK's interests first.

I fully support the NHS and the countless hours of work those selfish individuals responsible for its running have dedicated. Personally i would not support a war directly lead by the eUK at this moment in time as i believe what damage we can muster should be used for our allies at a time where Eden is on the back foot. Also as we have seen previously when the tide of battle swings it usually leads to reprisals and the eUK being occupied.
I would like to see the possibility of a small committee being established for the collection of funds for the possible use of an airstrike the next time eRepublik opens them up. This moment in time we aren't interested but a slow drip effect of funds and occasional artiles asking for donations, which will go into a Government account for future use is something i think will be beneficial. Who knows when we will next be occupied, and who can tell when we will not suffer the same fate as France. Having this option open to us is something we should seriously establish.

I am for closer ties to Ireland but i was opposed to the treaty...not because i favoured Scotland and Northern Ireland being British, but because the constant RW's worried me. Especially at times where when we faced more than one war we could not keep Dublin/Louth and we would not have the bonuses anyway. I do not believe that Ireland would want a war if we sat down to discuss amending the treaty because of genuine concerns. That said, the RW's intensity has died down so it will be interesting to see how foreign Eden stooges act once they are not bogged down with other campaigns around the world.

Anyway i am going to end this wall of text abruptly and relieve your straining eyes. I will finally add that i will not let you down, i will not make rogue proposals or grant citizenship requests without speaking to Mr Keers first. I will not put my own needs ahead of the eUK's and i will not waste your faith in me. VOTE HUGH
