Diplomatic Liberation!

Day 2,789, 10:07 Published in United Kingdom Argentina by CiTyZeN kHAn

Congratulations to the Government of eUK for a brilliant job in diplomatically liberating the North-West of England! Bravo! I must say, it was a wise decision to do so, but in a way a bit disappointing. Many think that this makes us look weak, however we still have a long way to go. Others think that we have betrayed our allies, and befriended our enemies. However, this is not completely true.

Our Allies
Without sounding mean, our allies (Spain, Ireland to name a few) are not in good places themselves. They are all resistance forces (Spain to become one) and are of no benefit to us, and frankly we are of no benefit to them. Our main concern now is to free ourselves of the other territories in the UK. To do this, we need stronger allies, and stronger relationships. Sure, it doesn't hurt to have Spain/Ireland as our allies, but we are no good to each other. Apologies if Spain actually isn't our allies, but I am completely new to eRepublik here, so feel free to correct me on my mistakes. I suggest forming ties and relationships to other more stronger countries. This is our only way out. From their we can start attracting more people to play eRepublik, since we actually have a standing country. Then we can actually help countries like Spain, Ireland to free themselves of their respective occupants.

Are we weak?
To be completely straightforward, yes we are. We have many citizens actually outside the country, trying to get citizenship elsewhere, and we also have many inactive citizens. To be honest, we shouldn't care what other countries think of us. Once we get the diplomacy right, once we have strong allies, then we can afford to care. Right now, we need our territories back.

A Fantastic Government
I hereby apologize to our PM. I didn't initially think you would make the right choices, but I applaud you on your very wise choices. Sometimes, it isnt all about war. Sometimes diplomacy is the best way forward, especially in the situation we are in. I would like to once again congratulate you on the liberation. I now hope that some government member is reading this, and hopefully will take on board my advice.

For BRITAIN and BEYOND!
