I left UP because of inactivity. The party fought tooth and nail for the number one spot in the country, but now that they have achieved it, what have they done? That isn't the party I helped create. We didn't settle for something, we fought for it and never stopped fighting. When we achieved our goal, we got a new one. UP seems to have forgotten to find a new goal...
As I see it, there have been 3 parties controlling congress the last few months, UP, RISE and IA. I've discussed UP, so now I will move to RISE.
RISE has gone through some internal changes and IA version 2.0 probably will not have the influence they once did, so they aren't too much of a factor anymore.
IA version 1.0 isn't any better. What a dull party. A bunch of classic, 2-clicking legends who get their 5 gold and continue to vote safe. Why change anything when you can get into congress by 2-clicking and continue to get 5 gold every month?
Why?
That's a good question. And the Answer: Because it is destroying your country. Complacency has not been good for us, we've seen too many players disappear into the night (or move to other countries) because of it. I challenge the players who don't normally respond, to tell me why they do it, or how them getting into congress will better South Africa.
Dignity Brigade - Political Faction plans on changing this. We now have the numbers for a REVOLUTION. Dignity Brigade has a PLATFORM. We rally behind each other and fight for what is best for our country and our players.
What do the other parties have? You can ask players in them, but most probably won't answer because they rarely log in.
This Election I urge you to vote with Dignity.

That's a load of bullshit.
Every party is active in its own way. We're seeing a lot of good things come from independent people from each party. The more you make this a party thing the more pissed off you make people. Every party has about 5 really active people, regardless of numbers. If DB had 70 guys it'd be just the same, it'd have about 5 guys who log on to the forum daily.
We refuse to suck, you guys should do the same 🙂
Political activity in this game isn't really about how many participate in dicussions, it's about vision and drive. To date no government party in eSA has managed to pull this off, we will do it or step aside.

You may claim we are inactive, which is a blatant lie, but even if it was true at least when we are active we work to better eSA. What have you done lately? Oh, come out and publicly bash the forums that we work so hard to get people to be active in? Then say you will no longer be part of the forum, you are going to be part of DB's private forum. And you have the audacity to say we are not active enough?

Honey Badger Don't Care
I thought honey badger didn't give a sh*t. Anyway, great article. It seems you've lit a fire under one or two of the 5 active members from the parties you mentioned, so you obviously did something right.
Honey badger may not give a sh*t, but the DB-PF does and always has. We've been here in some form for longer than anyone else and will be long after the rest fade into obscurity.

I woke up late for work today and threw on the first pair of jeans I could find. Then while I was at work I went to take a piss and noticed there was an extra pair of boxer shorts in my pants. I lol'd.

I've changed 3 parties and UP is the most active party that I've joined. I think inactivity is not the problem for your leaving.
Well clearly UP is active. 1 IA member has responded though.
UP definitely is not inactive. Try a few months ago when everyone left for a while, that was inactive. The situation is a lot better now.
