I support.
Could be hard for goverments but we did it before. Every gov could do the same. I am sure it is not hard to find turkish translators in Cuba.
eCuba has people from Spain, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, Brazil, Uruguay, Chile, Paraguay, Portugal, Germany, Serbia, Slovenia, China, Greece, Turkey, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Australia...and I'm sure I'm forgetting many countries.
Why turkish should be 'the' -because you say the, not a- official language? Why not serbian, or chinese? Why turkish players should have the right to have the articles translated into their language, when no other players have that right?
Cuba's language is spanish, and as we there is people from all over the world here we also need to use english, because it's a common language. You should make an effort and try to get involved using english, as everybody do. There were a lot of turkish players here before you all arrived, and none of them asked us what you are asking because they understood its not realistic.
birader bu ne faşizanlık ya tem millet tek dil de bi de tam olsun.
brother, are you faşist? are you racist? we want because we need.
you don't know spanish, learn english
you d.k. french, learn english
damn it!
Are you kidding me? Acussing me of facist and racist just because I say that we can't make each language spoken in eCuba official is so ridiculous..
Like it or not, english is the international language. In all the multi ethnical countries the official languages are the country one -spanish in our case- and english, that works as a connector for the different nations.
I have many friends here who only speak serb and must use a translator every time I speak with them, and they do it.
I don't see why we would make turkish official, and not serbian, or catalan, or any other language spoken here. But, as we can't make each article in ten different languages, what's logical is to use english.
Make an effort to get involved in our comunity, don't expect us to prepare the food and feed you..
Mmmm I haven't research much about this but I will ask for the census as I am about to make a language law but I think that 1/3 people from eCuba has turkish as their mother tongue so I think we should consider it, Nikola.
That's so exaggerated....Deonmar says there are a dozen of turkish, I think that there are a few more, maybe like 15...That isn't even 1/5 of cuban population.
I didnt read your words in comments. Im talking for first write;
1- howmany non hispanic and non anglosakson players in Ecuba? Can you tell howmany turkish and slovanian? And serbian, chinese? Around a dozen turkish players are citizens of eCuba. I realy would like to see official articles wrre serbian or another languages that cuba has national group as citizen.
2- If we are talking about facts;
In Turkey people still cant learn english even in universities. Only in private schools and a few university, you can learn english. english speakers are still uncommon in turkey. Thats an issue of Turkey and not of your problem, right, but this ignorancy makes some of us need to read in turkish if we have to understand. Otherwise we cant join conversition of country's problem.
3- if there is another nonhispanic populotion like turkish in cuba, it would Be fair to add their language as official. But i dont think there is..
Well, serbians in eCuba are almost the same number as you, same for catalans..
Do you really think all the hispanic people knows english ? Or all the serbian? No, mate, not everybody knows it...And what they do when they want to comunicate with people who speaks a different language? They use a translator..
Having to translate all our articles into...3? 4? 5 languages? would make us depend on the people who translate them to publish official articles...and what happens if nobody wants to do it? Would that also be our fault?
But, moreover that, this would help to keep the different comunities closed in their gettos, in stead of trying to get involved and participate in the eCuban society.
As I said before, there is a big group of turkish players who are cuban since a long time before you decided to come, and they never asked something like this, as they understand that it's not realistic...
I understand your problem, but it can be solved using a translator...I respect everybody doesn't matter where they come from, but this isn't Turkey, this is Cuba, so you can't pretend Cuba to adapt to you, you need to make an effort to adapt to our society...You've never respect our history, our allies, you tried to build the Cuba you wanted, and that's not fair with the people that have been working here since the beggining.
You've been here for more than 6 months, if you had made the effort to get involved in the society now you would be just an another part as we all are, but in stead of that you closed on your group of people, many members from your party only write articles in turk...how do you pretend to be part of the comunity if you haven't leave your past in the past?
The same number of Serbians? Don't think so...
Yo seem to defend the use of tranlator so much but when we were in congress and I asked you to speak in English many of your comrades discussed it and weren't in favour....
In respect of articles.. You have me: Spanish/english, merdo has offered to do english/turkish, and I'm sure (if there are really as serbians as you said) that we can find someone who do it.
Guettos? My god Nikola hahahahaha the main function of this is activate Cuban population and respect the multiculturalism that this country has.
" but this isn't Turkey, this is Cuba, so you can't pretend Cuba to adapt to you," Really... are you cuban? This isn't Uruguay either...
"You've never respect our history, our allies, you tried to build the Cuba you wanted" As always, this is a generalization... And as all generalizations this is a lie.
"You've been here for more than 6 months, if you had made the effort to get involved in the society now you would be just an another part as we all are" Do I have to remind you that he left because you guys haven't made the effort of speaking in English?
"many members from your party only write articles in turk." This is also a lie xDDD
eCuba has like 20 serbian players, and used to have many more...it's not a small group.
I don't know what my comrades have said, but I've been defending bilingualism since before eCuba was put in the game, much before none of you were here, and I had differences with many people that now are my comrades who have understood that we have to make the effort to speak also in english to make people get involved.
And Frida, please don't put things in my mouth I haven't said. Saying that they have to adapt to the country doesn't mean I'm saying I'm cuban. I'm uruguayan, yeah, but I'm eCuban, and as I'm part of a multi ethnical comunity I use english so my message can be understood by as much people as posible.
About the allies and our history, I'm sorry if it hurts you, but that was what they did when they were in power...Making embargos to allies, fighting against them, giving orders to fight against them...and after they lose power some of them they've kept fighting against our allies and our interests..That's not respecting us.
And about the article, today merdo, the one who writes this article, also published one article speaking about Turkey that was only written in turkish that he deleted some minutes later...And that's just one example..if I go to the newspaper of your party members I'm sure I could find many more.
Neither turks....
No, but you say it like..."go to your country", be careful with what yoy say, because this isn't our country so anyone can say what we have to adapt to.
I didn't say that... You're not hurting me either. Now you've corrected it.
I saw it, and he published it in Turkey xD I've seen articles also in English Nikola...
1- we are Saying turkish should be an official language. Citizens doesn't need to write articles in all official languages but goverments do.
2- turkish and english are in very different language families. If you think the translation resultados has same efficiency like between english-español this would be really big mistake.
3- i didn't say all hispanic people can speak english. But in eCuba they understand all articles of goverments. And a german or a dutch can understand english very well. But a serbian, a turkish Or an ukranian could need to read in their native languages. Now, don't say "so why are we setting only turkish to official İf cuba ingredients citizens from another countries who speaks another languages than?" All we know, turkish people has greater population an they are very active in press and politics.
Cuba bleeds by language problems. Cuba lost her citizens becouse of they cant understand spanish and english. I believe that if Cuba set 3rd biggest native language as official language her population will stand and probably will increase specially from turkey with who can speak only turkish.
turkish official language what a bullshit cuba's official language english or maybe we can consider about kurdish also most common languages should be official not shitty turkish language
türkçe de yaz lan xd
türkçe niye ofisyal dil kürdçe olsun ofisyal dil
kürtçe de olacak sabret bi türkçe yapalım sonra bi makale daha patlatırım
Hi Merdomerdoo, how are you?
I know the difficult for understand new langages, but for add a new language to the list of "Official Language" should be based on real dates or Information.
You (all turkish living on eCuba) could complete the National Census, then we could work with more information about this theme and could look for solution thogether (Turkish, Serbian, Catalans, and any other people that don't understand Spanish nor English).
About the "Racism" accussation, it is wrong, we are always promoting the Social Inegration, and this month we are improve the Official Message adding as Mandatory the Both Official Languages (English and Spanish) in each one of the Congress Message or Guvernamental Message.
All Official Articles are published on both languages, and we have published this article for More and More Social Integration:
http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/2598830/1/20
Also, several citizens are been contacted me for the language difficult, and we has discussed about this theme.
You can Contact to Prince Alex as an example, and know more about this discussion.
If you want work to solve this problem, a Turkish Translate People will be needed, and you could be the perfect people for it.
You can complete the Census, if don't complete yet, here:
