Consequences

My fellow Patriots

I've never felt so depressed with this game as now where I have to fight against my own country. The thought that I'm defending my country against a PTO would sooth the pain, but I realize that I'm doing this because of months incompetence and zero spoken regret or reconciliation.

When we fought against Brazil people like Grimstone and myself tried to logically explain our situation - Beggars can't be choosers. There was a good reason we made deals with certain neighbors. Not that I have anything against Argentina or any nostalgic feelings towards Brazil, but we need to make up our minds. The other problem is even if we break the chains of previous oppressors we make messes again because we show absolutely no diplomatic skill. We say what we want and do what we want because - why not?

We're making enemies with every choice we make. Our insults reach the other party before the truth reaches us. This is condemning. It would be easy to just give up our country to the Lazocrats and come back in 6 months, I think that's what's bound to happen if they win in anyway...but what we have here is collective guilt and collective responsibility. If one CP makes a mess we all have to clean up after him. If one official insults an ally we all have to apologize. Why? Because the sh!t that boomerangs back hits the whole country and not just the one or two people who made mistakes.

My friends, we have to learn out of our mistakes. We need to keep our thoughts to ourselves sometimes and we need to look for alternative solutions.

We need to work together I've seen many people take advantage of our society to promote their own selfish ambitions. We've followed many blindly without thinking of the repercussions. We've valued our emotions in times of trouble above logical thinking and planning.

There's no reason anymore to exclude the Macedonians from PM chains. There's no reason to insult Argentina because they can't handle our mess(they really can't). There's no reason to boycott our forums. We need to break these boundaries dividing our people.

I'll tell you what good reasons there are:
We can invest more time in getting to know our allies.
We can conveniently make use of PM chains for our small active populations.
We can investigate matters before loudly making assumptions or accusations
We can actively participate in congress when we're elected
We can formulate plans to make our communes more effective
We can promote public discussion for matters of war
...

This article isn't meant to destructively criticize anyone, but I hope we can come to a point where we admit we either lack a lot of skills or we're too stubborn to use them because no one has said something like this in public.

Every choice has a consequence. The bigger the matter, the bigger the consequence. Let's make mistakes with small choices and not with the big ones...what do you guys say?
