Communication is the key of success
Kiyonori Dragnier
Dear world,
I wanted to write about something that is sadly underrated and unknown by many eBelgian Citizens, yes I’m talking about eBelgium national forum !
The eBelgium community is mainly based on this forum where you can participate to many things or meet the community.
The first thing you’ll see is how welcoming our community is.
If you don’t see a lot of things in the forum after registration don’t worry ! After registration and posting in the Welcome section of our forum, if you’re an eBelgian Citizen you’ll get your forum mask that will allow you to see more things in the forum, this is to prevent unknown or unrelated people to bring havoc on our beautiful community !
If you’re someone that is making his debuts on eRepublik or if you’re feeling like learning about some game mechanics don’t worry ! We also have a beautiful section with some guides.
If you don’t find what you’re searching, you can also ask your questions by posting a message, we’ll be happy to help you in learning how the game works !
Are you looking for random topics or some discussions unrelated to eRepublik? If yes then we have a magnificient section full of discussion about everything... or everyone, see how Raskol and Beaver Juice are loving each others by making some dedicated topic for them !
If you’re bored about talking or you feel like wanting some fun we also have a ultra mega fun forum games section ! Play “Tug of War”, take on a crazy defy like counting to one million !, help at making a story where everyone put the next few words to create a Best Seller or perhaps you prefer to give some slaps or hugs to others members of our community. Yes, we have fun here !
Do you want to speak about something related to RL events or having a question about a problem that worries you? Then come to see our best psychiatrist in our very true “Real life stuff” part of our forum. We have cookies !
Of course our beautiful forum isn’t limited to what I talked before, there’s even more sections in our forum, if you’re member of a political party you can ask an access to see the private part of it, the same applies for military units or congress members where we debate and make positive things for eBelgium.
Our precious community isn’t only on our forum but also on IRC in Rizon at #eBrussels, where you can talk directly to us or even making parties ! Yes, we have a lot of fun here !
Why I wanted to talk about this? Because there’s something very important when playing a game like eRepublik. It’s called communication, trust me, by playing eRepublik with a community you’ll discover more things, make a lot of eFriends and you’ll see a totally different way to play eRepublik. Isn’t it amazing?
Really it costs nothing to come and spend time with us, give it a try I’m sure you won’t regret this, if you have any questions about our forum don’t hesitate to send me a PM, I’ll be happy to answer you.
Best regards,
Kiyonori Dragnier

Swiss forum is even more dead
Barely been posted there last months, only a couple of post at best

THIS FORUM, IS OUR FORUM !
Votado 🙂
"something that is sadly underrated and unknown by many eBelgian Citizens : the eBelgium national forum"
-> something that is sadly underrated and unknown by many eBelgian forum users : the eRepublik Newspapers' system.
But I must admit there's been a fair amount of papers recently : some fun, some informative, some interesting, some debating, and even some role-playing.
It's a problem if half the people get banned.
Good initiative!
Maybe you should also show a screenshot of the SC forum. That 'll show you how a welcoming community those forum users are. NOT! A screenshot of the private congress board should also give you a good idea..
Lets keep the game in game and not create other ways to give some individuals some super powers..
@Shadowukcs: Don't exaggerate things, only a very few people (two or three I think) got a sanction and there was many reason to this, for example unnecessary and repeated excessive flaming/harassment against someone or doing things that put eBE in danger, like spamming rogue law proposals to get eBE wiped? Giving citizenship to someone who previously proposed to many congress members gold in exchange of citizenship because he got rejected by Immigration Officers?
Those who got a sanction knew about the consequences of their actions and clearly stated that they didn't care about the people here or following rules that was made by a government because it wasn't what they decided themselves.
@A Vegan: About the "private section" for congress members, there's nothing like giving "super powers" to people, but giving the possibility to do their work as members of a government or congress members. If someone isn't a congress or government member anymore he get the access removed. No one have the "super powers" you talked about, not even the forum admins, they aren't allowed to post if they aren't a part of the government or congress.
If something wasn't right on the forum I would already have do or say something against it.
@Jeiry: This article was made to inform citizens that a forum exists, to give them a chance to meet the community and get themselves know in eBE. In every game or community there is a forum were people can speak with each other and share their thoughts.
Many people don't know how to make an article or don't want to create a newspaper it's their rights. Articles are fading with time, a forum store everything and allow people to have another view on what's happening around them. Before I started to be active on it I was getting annoyed and thought that there was no social interactions or community in eRepublik. My vision changed when I joined the forum and IRC. I would have already quit the game if there wasn't an active community in eBE.
V + S,
YOU, dear eRepper reading this, are really MISSING something! C=
Great job Kiyo, looking forward for even mooooooooore articles!
I agree on few things you said... but you've got to realize that if there's not many social interactions through the Newspapers, it's first of all because everything's going on inside the forum.
Actually, I do understand that your forum fits better for some social stuff, but what I'm really pissed about, it's when eRepublik game matters are discussed on the forum and not in the Newspapers (important debates and so on), that is definitely not normal.
In short : I agree that en external forum is a huge "plus" (for fun, social, etc.), but it canno't be a mandatory thing to fully play the game, never.
And as you said it's everybody's right not to create a newspaper (I don't have one), it's also everybody's right not to go on an external site to play all the aspects of the games.
Guess what happens if you're elected President without being on the forum ? The actual answer is not normal at all, that's the problem !
@Jerry: I understand what you said, but I'm not talking about forcing citizens to join the forum to play the game, all I offer is a way to make things much more easier for everyone.
The forum itself is made to help everyone to know each others, we have the chance to be a part of a little community, it allows us to know nearly every citizens.
Well about the facts that many things aren't discussed on newspapers is because after 2 or 3 days an article disappear from the list of recent articles. This makes things much more harder to manage and as you can imagine sometimes a debate can have a duration over a week.
But for a game who is focusing on social interaction and community, knowing people is very important, that's why I really think that if we can meet the other citizens in a place like IRC or the forum we would be able to do a better work.
@Yannis: Thank you, I know i'm not making a lot of articles but I'll do my best to be able to learn how BBCODE works and use it to make an article of quality.
+1 to what Jerry said. Currently eBe is under a forum dictatorship and that should change!
Kiyonori: I'm one of those people too. Because someone, outside of my will or my ability to defend myself, decided that I stole from the government (it was actually the other way around) and now I have to give an apology (which obviously I refuse as they are the ones who stole from me)
