Congressional campaign platform
PigInZen
Commonwealth of Massachusetts
USA

Allow me to introduce myself. I am PigInZen, known as Phil in real life, and I am the USWP candidate for Congress from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Commonwealth has had the great fortune to be represented by Zcia for the past two terms. I am hoping to build upon Zcia’s commitment as he has relocated to DC and is no longer a resident of Massachusetts.

My platform is straightforwar😛 with goodwill towards all and malice towards none.

Huh? How is that a platform? Well, I wanted to keep it simple so I stole the above from Abraham Lincoln as it succinctly summarizes my approach to eRepublik. If that’s all you need to know you can stop reading. If you’re interested in how this plays out on a specific level, please continue.

1. I desire to reduce the amount of vitriol and discord in American politics and faithfully represent all citizens of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. I am acutely aware that we are many voices and actively seek to engage those of differing opinions in order to collectively devise appropriate policy. This is my guiding principle and will be my overriding concern in all matters.

2. I desire to promote globalization and global structures to reduce wars of conquest, PTOs and interference in internal politics of sovereign nations. This is a personal interest and may conflict with some constituent opinions. I am stating this here as a disclaimer of sorts to establish my general worldview.

3. I desire to promote trade liberalization between consenting nations in a thoughtful and tested manner. I do not believe in unilateral policy, that is, our trade liberalization should be matched by that of like-minded trading partners.

4. I desire to promote internal American infrastructure development (and that of Massachusetts in particular). This is a common campaign promise and I will not exclude myself from it because I actually believe that internal development that allows citizens to fight from their home states is an important one.

5. I desire to make the US Congress more organized and provide citizens access to government via a new wiki-based interface. The current interface (bulletin board based) to government information is daunting, intimidating and difficult to navigate. I seek to centralize and organize in an official manner the policies and departments of the USA government and Congress.

I believe that all citizens have a voice in their government regardless of party affiliation, national origin or personal beliefs. My personal achievements include ownership of two separate companies (a wood producer in Pennsylvania and an iron producer in Asturias, Spain), membership in the National Guard with a rank of Corporal and serving the US State Department as Under Secretary for Developing Regions. I am also part of the Mentoring program as run by Bill Brasky through the Department of Education.

Please consider giving me your vote for Congress on June 25. If you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to contact me personally.

All the best,
PigInZen (aka Phil)
