ASIO Act Passed by Congress
eAus Department of Information
I am delighted to confirm that after rigorous analysis and debate by the eAustralian Congress and the eAustralian Cabinet, we have finalized a comprehensive approach to immigration reform.
With immediate effect, the following law has been passed and will govern all activity with regard to the processing of Immigration CS requests.
Our president will shortly propose the ASIO Director for the remainder of this term.
The Legislation
1. ASIO will be under the directive of the Executive Branch and the Country President.
2. On the 7th of each month, the new Country President will nominate to a committee of the top 5 Party Presidents, an eAustralian citizen to be the Director of ASIO for that month.
3. The Nominee will be scrutinized by the committee and after the committee is satisfied with the process, a vote will be made in which a majority is needed for the approval of the Nominee as Director of ASIO.
4. ASIO staff will continue each month, however it is the prerogative of only the Director of ASIO to hire/fire staff.
5. The Director of ASIO can only be relieved of his/her duties during the term by either a majority vote from the committee or by the Country President.
6. All applicants for citizenship should apply using the in-game application and then complete the Google document on this https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Ta5EL4DxcCRNbwL0jNtkfaYAHbLJ5wQcRNf6-5zS1wo/viewform
7. Once the application has been received, ASIO will review the applicant and provide congress with a risk rating. A rating of 3 will be Very High Risk, which means that this applicant has a history whereby their behaviour may not be conducive to Australian values and freedom. A rating of 2 means that there is an acceptable level of risk and a rating of 1 means they are an Australian returning home. Ratings of 3 are not recommended for entry.
8. Details of all immigration requests and assessments will be posted on a weekly report from ASIO, along with any information on whether the request was approved by a Senator.
END

Well, that was easy. 😃
Yes, it only took us 3 months. Something tells me it might not be quite over yet. May we live in interesting times 😃
Did non congress members who are in the congress thread vote as well?
I didn't vote....
I wouldn't worry to much, the article is full of lies and the 'agreement ' is a joke when you look at it in detail
I wonder if you could provide us with the voting numbers for this bill? And perhaps even a party by party voting split.
I'm confused as to where this voting took place?
The only voting I'm aware of is the consensus of the remaining 4 party presidents. I believe this article may be misworded, although assuming that all PPs have the will of their membership in this I would expect a similar result in congress. I see no reason why there couldn't be a final vote there to solidify this.
Concensus by pps that explains why i never saw an actual congress vote on it.
So in reading the comments above... Did the Department of Immigration just pass a law that was agreed upon behind closed doors, with only 4 to 6 people voting on it? Not even congress members who are the ones who issue passes??
The 5 Party Presidents voted on it, but you chose to abstain from further negotiations or to give any idea of your preferred policy. If other parties handled the process as the ADP did, then the membership of each of the 4 remaining parties should also be in agreement with the policy as it stands.
Thats a big IF Gudz and assuming a lot. I for one am one congressman that does not agree with the above. and there are probably more.
Well assuming the RSU "policy" was derived by consensus then I would expect the RSU senators to vote against it. Also I thought you were a congress woman, but I suppose names aren't everything.
We think for ourselves which it appears the other party's don't allow in their congressman. And its congressman regardless of gender in erep gudz, its not rl 😉.
You misunderstand. With the original ADP policy, and each step of the negotiations , I ran every single step by the ADP membership, so ANY suggestions or concerns from ANY member of the ADP was worked into that. Essentially what we have in the ADP party room is a consensus, or at least a consensus of members who spoke up, and all had ample opportunity to.
My idea was simpler and better, this has too many words, rules and regulations ..... and I haven't even looked at it ....
When did this voting take place and by whom? ....
What was your olan Henry?
what's an olan? ....

I think there has been some miscommunication. I would like to see next months congress vote on this before it is implemented.
Some miscommunicateion? Looks like 4 pps pushing through a law without discussing with all congressman to me.
Did you not discuss your opinion on Turkish people with the RSU party room before you tabled it in the PP thread? I know everything I put forward was run by the whole ADP membership.
None of the PP's voted for it to become law. But to get to the next stage which was to vote. This is rich coming from the 'woman' who screwed over Australia more than once.
Also you mean the PP's that represent a majority of the congressmen?
Just putting a note here to clarify, while this article was initially misworded, the ASIO policy was later ratified by the Senate (congress) 13 votes to 6.
