Yes, It is Latvia. My land, my country, my home, my place, where I live, enjoying life! Latvia is a country in the Baltic region of Northern Europe, one of the three Baltic states.

Yes, we are member of NATO. We joined in 29 March 2004, in Fifth enlargement.

Yes, 4 neighbours - Estonia, Russia, Belarus, Lithuania



Sorry, but we don't have any islands on open waters, but we have coast line.

Just look at the map. Some time ago we had 1 island, but, Estonia took it from us 🙁

There was some comments about it, yes, we have something about 2.013 millions (in 2013.) residents in my country

Some say, our longest river (which flows only in my country) is shorter than road between Sydney and Brisbane or Melbourne.

Biggest river is Daugava, but the longest in our country Gauja 452 km (280.86 miles). It starts in Latvia and ends in Latvia. But it flows only in Latvia!



Some say, some time ago we had full time calendar seasons. Now, I don't know, what we have right now...

Yes, some time ago we had beatifull and snowy winters, hot and long summers, but now we have lots of rain in winter, summers are hot and rainy (something like 1 week rain and cold, 1 week hot), so it isn't so enjoyable as it was some years ago... sad...

We have hills. Somebody will smile and laught out loud (doing lots of lol'ing), but this is true! Our highest hill is smaller than our tallest building (read tower).

Gaizins is tha tallest hill, which is about 311 metres (1049ft) above sea level.


The tallest tower is Riga Radio and TV Tower 368 metres (1,207 ft). Interesting, isn't it?
