Join the new world

As Media Director for AMP, it's my job to whip the leadership to write articles. And, because I am fair, I add myself to the article schedule.

Most of the people who talk to me regularly on IRC know that I am completely obsessed with most of the works of Joss Whedon. Particularly, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

And, I was thinking... who of my e-family fits which character from that show?

Dr Luis Sentieiro


First is my e-dad, Dr Luis Sentieiro. He's not Rupert Giles because Giles is old (even though I guess as my e-dad I should see him as an old man). He's Giles because he is the leader of the family. He's there to give you advice and opinions (sometimes whether you want them or not). He is smart, and he has a cool accent. Plus, he's trained me to be the "media goddess" of AMP, just like Giles had to teach Buffy to be a better Slayer. Pretty awesome, right?

BlackBaroness


Okay, I'm mixing my metaphors here a little, but BlackBaroness is totally Buffy. If you mess with the people she cares about, she's going to kick your butt. If you don't do what you're supposed to, she's going to kick your butt. If you're an evil vampire, she's going to kick your butt.


Plus, she likes her alcohol.

Divineal & Frikadelle


Divineal and Frikadelle are my e-brothers. Xander is the penultimate brother archetype. He's loyal, protective, and always there to be silly when you need it. Just like divineal and Friki. They are fun, nice, and always there to beat people up if they think they're being mean to me.


They're good at hugs too.

Blondeninja


Now for my e-wife, Blondeninja. Now I'm not saying she's Willow and I'm Tara because of our magnificent lady love, but... Willow and Tara have a magnificent lady love. BN is Willow, with her 1337 computer skills, super smartness, and generally good attitude. She always wants to cheer me up if I'm not happy or not feeling well. Plus, Willow is pretty cute. They have that in common.


If only there was some way I could help her lose all that extra energy...

And that's it for now. Who am I from Buffy? I dunno. I've got the geekiness of Willow, the protectiveness of Buffy, the goofiness of Xander, and the nerdy book obsession of Giles. I guess that's why they're my efamily.

This wasn't my best article. My brain is fried. But I do love my e-family. They're part of what makes this game so fun for me, and they're probably one of the biggest reasons I've lasted 5 months now. As of today, actually. So excuse me for the goofiness, but these weirdos are awesome. Be jelly.
