Alright, let's talk about newbies
Jascha Stark
Cheers guys, and no, this article wasn't inspired by possible reward of bunch of Q7 weapons. I was planning on writing something like this for several weeks. Then I awoke one morning and found myself having the title of Minister of Education. Well, that must have been a sign.
It's been more than a year since I started playing eRepublik. I can't say it's the best simulation game I've ever played. Probably, the only good thing about this game is that it gives you an opportunity to communicate with people that share your views. Most of us love real life Israel, and that is the reason why we've chosen (almost bonusless) eIsrael over all the other countries with lots of available bonuses. Back in 2014 eRepublik was a better place for newbs, just because there wasn't such an illogical implementation as Infantry Kit, and saving XP points did make sense. One could sacrifice their wish to press the 'fight' button anytime they want (also known as fun) to secure an advantageous position for doing the same in the future. IK has enabled strong players to stay in lower divisions for ever, reducing newbs' chances to win something that even vaguely looks like a BH medal to zero, never mind moving the wall in the opposite direction. Considering the fact that strength increases at the same rate for all the citizens, a huge strength/damage/influence gap between old players and new players will never be bridged, and the latter will always be outgunned by the former. In other words, I for one see no adequate reason to sign up for eRepublik today (unless you're up to creating multiple accounts). Honestly, I hadn't thought about it until now, when I'm going to start running a kind of Department of Demography to guide the newbs through the maze of the game. I wouldn't like to tell them bullshit stories of how cool it is to join The New World, 'cause they will surely see it's not so after a while.
1. So, any ideas on how we can interest newbs in playing eRepublik?
2. What role would you assign to the newcomers?
Looking forward to your comments (at least 25 of them).

You are inspired 😃
Amitown can help you with translations into hebrew, he is cool.
We can check the new players and send them a welcome message, that If it's replied, we will send some food and/or weps. As well as needed info.
Publish comments in hebrew newspapers online with the referer link of eR, we will need some sort hebrew small text and spam!
Hebrew manuals for new players, recopilation for send to new players.
I think, you didn't get the point. Spamming new players is not a problem. The question is what do we have to offer them?
If they don't like the game there is nothing we can do. If they like we can offer limited help, positions in congress, ambassadors, ministers, commanders of MU for train....few more I think.
i will tranlsate for hebrew 🙂
new players need vision and targets i think.
I'd be obliged

i enjoyed your artice very much
Honestly, new players can forget about the military module, unless they want to spend RL money and/or two-click for literally years to increase strength >
I'd say there'd be more fun to be had in politics and the media, but that's really more of the community having fun than actually playing a game. And the economy module seems pretty inaccessible to new players, because everything is so expensive.
Conclusion: watch South Park instead
But as for politics, it's completely useless without the strong military. Politics has always been the way to direct the armed forces. You know, those who can, do; those who can't, go into politics.
I wish new players had some of your talent for writing an article, so at least we could have fun with reading.
Jascha i am tryin to make it easier for us to personally contact all the new players that come on board. I have asked all MU owners to boot all of the dead citizens out. This way it makes it easier for us to comb through people to personally contact the newer players
I don't think contacting new players is going to be a problem. All I want now is to find out what we have to offer them. There's just one idea I've come up with so far, which is to lure them into a slavepit lol
like Hail said, you have to offer them something in a political manner. jobs, and positions
Dictator's chair? Presidential office? What exactly positions?
well for instance making congress more appealing, jobs within departments . i can think of things that could be done with ppl within the military within foreign affairs within the economic side of things and DEFINATELY you could use help with the education program. Get these new players into some of these areas

Before some months we built a wonderful forum..but hardly noone was willing to use it..maybe we can revive it?
What forum?
http://eisrael.foroactivo.com/
Why are you guys so old school?
Because John TG is an ancient faggot🙂
love you, jan
Forum was nice. A nice place, very elite haha
Teach them to write articles. It's about all anyone can do with a post-2011 account. 😕
Agreed. Assign a higher ranked player to every newbie.
Chatting, being involved in politics (what politics?) and being around is why new players could join.
I stay for the daily news of No Carrier and to be with friends.
