A Long Journey

Day 2,522, 15:40 Published in Ireland Ireland by Colin Fox

Hello all, it's been a couple months since I've logged on. There is an explanation for my disappearance but no excuse for my abrupt inactivity. To fill you all in - I was in the transition of moving. For those who were aware I lived in Minnesota (USA) and moved to Washington (USA), the state not DC! Yes, the land where marijuana is LEGAL 😉 haha

But also a place full of hard lefties and since my arrival I've been working closely with Socialist Alternative, participated in various protests and direct action, and have been busy helping campaign for increasing the minimum wage. I've also gone to 8 concerts in the past month since I've lived here. My education consists of rigorous study of political economy and understanding capitalism from a multi/interdisciplinary approach. I only have a year and a half left until I get my Bachelor's in International Political Economy and my double in Environmental Economics. Needless to say, I've been incredibly busy with real life and have never felt so fulfilled.

Also, in case you were wondering, me and that woman I may have mentioned on here have been together for 3 months and although we are long distance I believe I have found what some would call "the one". With my political, academic, social, and love life being fulfilled...naturally that resulted in ignoring eRepublik. I felt it wasn't fair to eIreland or the ILP as you guys have been my friends and eIreland my home since July 2010.

With this said - I want to maintain my presence in eIreland. You guys have been like family, through thick and thin (shitstorms and victories) we've struggled together as one eIrish people. I will do what I can to help ensure that the dream of e-socialism does not die and a free eIreland is achieved.

Anyways, good to be back, don't expect me to lead the revolution though. The torch has been passed.
