A half assed proposal,

Day 875, 19:45 Published in USA USA by Haseo777

This is in response to the WA battle.

In this battle and others like it the server went into overtime. However, in these cases it was completely impossible for one side to win. Notably in WA, the wall went into NML 2 or 3 times, fulfilling the OT condition for an Aussie victory. However, it didn't register with the server. Yet when Indo got it slightly UG, they won.

Ok admin. Look I realize you want to seem as impartial as possible. You didn't want to seem biased toward EDEN in WA, so you let this result stand because it would be unfair to change it since you did not change outcomes where this negatively affected Phoenix in the past.

Fair enough I guess.

However, this will probably happen again. What then? Do we redo this song and dance (one side calling bug other saying to this happened to us too, so screw off!)? That's stupid.

I have a better idea: Do overs.

In all future cases where a server bug like this makes it completely impossible for one side to win, a do over is called. The admin PMs the Presidents of both countries and a mod meets them in a private chat. In this chat, both parties hammer out a date and time for a do over to occur. This time must be mutually agreed upon.

Until a time for a battle is agreed upon and it is conducted, the territory is in limbo. Neither side can gain any resources from it nor can they use the border to attack another territory. Furthermore, no nation can attack a limbo territory.

If a time cannot be agreed upon by both side, the admin picks the time.

On the agreed upon time, the battle starts.

Fair?
