A Friend in Need
Devoid
Is a friend indeed.
Who's hotter? Tough call.
So I heard we're supertight with France. That article even makes implications about various region swaps and such.
I sure hope something in there is about French grain!
French fields:
British fields:
While sheep are nice, you can't make beer out of sheep. This is problematic. We need grain, or we shall all be sober!
SOMEONE THINK OF THE CHILDREN!
In all seriousness though, grain is a big deal. The UK doesn't have any. France has 6 grain regions. It would be a great sign of friendship if they were to share the wealth. I'm sure a deal can be worked out that benefits both nations.

The UK needs to improve their resources overall. It was all well and good to give regions to Serbia, but just as I mentioned during that debate, if the UK doesn't somehow figure out how to get tangible, solid resources of their own, they might as well rent everything except London.

Huzzah.
🙂 Friends.
I prefer the 250G from Serbia then having us rent a grain resource that we don't really require to function
Grain \o/

THINK OF THE CHILDREN!!!
Current grain prices are .08, and they can't fall any further under current market conditions, because iron prices are .07, and iron companies get a 25% bonus over grain. Food prices are .6 per quality for levels 1 to 3. That means each food produced earns a food company .12. Considering that food is 3 times harder to produce than grain, that means food companies bring in half the revenue compared to grain companies. Food companies simply can't make a profit hiring any employees.
Until we see grain becoming part of our national resources, the food industry will not be able to expand. Owners of food companies will still want to work in them, but they won't want to hire any employees.
Also, it's utterly ridiculous for a country without a grain region to have highly protectionist tariffs on grain.
Protectionist tariffs are the only way to have a decent economy that allows it's citizens to be competitive on the global market place if the local prices are relatively high and wages suite. If you earn enough to buy 5 food here, you should earn enough to here to buy >5 elsewhere using those wages.
