A fond farewell

Day 930, 03:57 Published in Israel Israel by Maelyn

I have been asked by the President and Minister of Defense to resign my position. Your new Commander will be Bloodger. I wish him much success.

During my tenure I have had the pleasure of working some of the finest military minds in the game – Xenophanes, Joshua Hoss, Sir Valaro Volcrum, Kazeal, Bloomfield – as well as some extremely talented and dedicated officers – Codster0987, matan9010, Blanemcc, 70md, Hadorban, yuvy15, Conchis1, yibgib, Gavin Wax, Maho oham, Lokelindas, lobe, RED_BARON, mrsjholiday, Daniel Hachawer, Proxer, and many, many others.

I began in the eIDF last fall, as head of the non-deployable force of that time (Golani Brigade). When the force was reorganized I was made head of the Defense Corps. I did my best to get the DC forces organized and disciplined. I tried to improve communication and make the eIDF more open and welcoming to citizens from both language groups. I stressed the need to translate all communications, and actively set out to find bilingual soldiers who could be promoted to officer positions. My goal was to eventually have a Hebrew speaking officer in charge of the DC.

When I became the head of the eIDF as a whole I continued those goals. Then the announcement that the game would be changing to v2 came out. That became our number 1 priority. For more than 3 months now we have been working on a plan to be prepared for v2. We completely restructured not only our forces (where people are) but how we do things as well (functional groupings and teams, methods of communication). The change has not always gone smoothly, but we have gotten the basics in place. We have 2-3 weeks left before v2 becomes a reality. I had hoped to put the finishing touches on the structure and shepherd the force through the first few weeks of the new system. Unfortunately, I will not be able to complete my vision.

It will be up to Bloodger to carry on. I don’t know what his plans may be, but I do know nothing he wants to accomplish will happen unless everyone supports him and helps him. I wish all of you the best of luck. It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve.
