5 Quick Things New Players Can Do to Get Ahead In Erepublik + DF for MO

Day 827, 19:17 Published in USA USA by Desertfalcon

I've just joined the U.S. mentor program as a mentor as I know how important it is for us to educate new citizens about how the game works to both increase knowledge of the game mechanics in the country as well as citizen retention. Below are five ways new players can learn more about the game and become more active. Also if you have any other questions please PM me, I will try and get a Q and A article out in the next few days made up of real questions people have.

1. Join the Forums and IRC

Probably the most obvious one, browsing the forums and IRC are great ways to learn what people have to say about the game and interact with other people. Getting familiar with IRC and the forums will also allow you access to stuff you can't see or do in the game such as watching presidential debates on IRC and discussing things with other Americans on the forums. The forums can be found here

This thread gives info on how to get on IRC

2. Join the Military

The military offers new citizens a great way to rank up and increase the amount of damage they can do. It is also a great way to meet new people and help your country in key battles. While you may not meet the strength requirements for the more prestigious branches the training core is a good start for those still under strength level 5 and it's a lot more fun then being a civilian.

3. Join the Mentor program

If your not quite sure how the game works and would like some help a good place to start would be the mentor program. In this program you will be assigned a mentor who will answer your questions and try to help you out while you begin your journey in Erepublik. This is a really great way to learn from some of the older players and gain valuable insight into the game. The program is also looking for more people to be mentors so if your experienced in the game you should also check this out.

If you are interested in joining the program you can read more about it here

4. Join a Political Party

While political parties often get a bad rep as dividing the country they are a great way to meet like minded people. Most political parties also offer a wide variety of programs to help out their newer members and if your looking to become more active in the game political parties almost always have jobs that need to be done. It's also kinda necessary to join a party if you want to get involved in politics later in the game.

5. Pay attention to the media

Just skimming through the top media can help you learn a lot about the game and alert you to major events and announcements. I assume that most of you are already doing this though as your currently reading an article in the media.
