1600 gold to spend
eLeSDe
Dear citizens of the Empire!
As I've written in my previous article, MoF of our nation, Oligagnon, caused a loss of 1800 gold from Japan treasury - gold belonging to Japan, and such, belonging to everyone of us, me and you. It was our gold, because everyone of you pays taxes, and they made for a significant part of the mentioned amount.
2 days have passed since I published that article, which was a call for Oli to admit his mistake, to make formal apologies to all the citizens and last but not least, to taking the responsibility by obligating to reimburse the treasury with his own money. I considered him a man of honor, because even a trace amount of honor would make a man to act in this manner. I never meant for it to be an instant 1800g cash transfer, because even if he has such an amount, it would mean losing a major part of his property and forcing him to start a game anew, sort of. Unfortunately, I took him for someone he isn't. His single announcement over this case, consists of a plan how to return the Japanese treasury to its former glory, to the amounts predating his epic failure - and of a small addendum about anonymous donation of 200g, made probably by the person currently in possesion of said gold.
In the course of these few days, I've been a target of many accusations, mostly stating I am trying to have a revenge for our previous, private, argument. The argument, which wasn't even connected with current situation. Understand this: doing that you do not help Oligagnon at all (though, if you feel like digging deeper into said subject, feel free to PM me). I was also accused of making Japan a laughing stock for the world, by publishing the article - while I should do it on our national board. Only a small part of Japan nation is registered there and the administration of this board can accuse anyone of being a PTOer and revoke any acces for reasons such as one being anti-FOH. Let's be serious, people, I am no idiot. The purpose of the independent media is delivering a voice of the opposition to all the citizens.
It has been widely suggested, on the national board, on IRC and in the comments, that I am involved in this incident, and few people even said I was the one to "steal" the money. All of these accusations are completely unfounded. Never, I repeat, never have I stolen anything, because I have my honour. The business, though, is an art of war. There is no pardon for the weak, if you make your decisions on insecure grounds, you have to be prepared for losing everything. I hear a lot of ppl speaking about an ingame bug, it's ridiculous, though, I have a question to them. Do you sign your deals in real world without checking everything few times to be sure? If you do, congratulations. Now go and check, if you haven't sold your life for few nickels.
To sum it up, Oligagnon, if he has this trace amount of gut after all, should commit a political seppuku. Failing to commit it would be a final proof he's completely lacking it. And there goes something for ppl in likes of Aogo, TheReverendSeanV, Yoshi Midori,Ryoushi, kuroiunmei - and to many of you, not mentioned by nick citizens.

"As I've written in my previous article, MoF of our nation, Oligagnon, caused a loss of 1800 gold from Japan treasury"
Oligagnon did not cause the loss it was the crappy bugs that plague eRepublik.
Yhym bugs 😛 Why our Carbon never loose even 1 gold ? ;>
Oyoo!
So am I supposed to rage now?
Also if you did not expect it to happen instantly - then what is wrong with him paying off as much as he can on a daily basis? he already published an article about it. It was a bug and now he is willingly reacquiring the money from his own wallet? granted it takes time but you just said you do not expect it to be instant? What is it that you want then? I simply do not understand what you are trying to achieve.
"the administration of this board can accuse anyone of being a PTOer and revoke any acces for reasons such as one being anti-FOH"
Yeah you obviously have no idea who is part of what groups and who is admin of the forums... What you describe has never happened and never will happen.
Insert defense of foh person here.
Insert correction of egregious disregard for the facts here.
Insert witty flame and/or retort here
I don't think he has it. He's got paint open in that screenshot. Probably a fake.
Oligagnon is innocent.
It's the bug in eRepublik!

This is JUST a game.
reiji sucks
I'm pretty sure eLeSDe knows who has it, but he doesn't value Japan at all and doesn't want the guy to give it back.
EVERYONE NOW SPEAKS IN BOLD :<
Notice eLeSDe spouts so much rubbish, when he's actually so unwilling to help the rest of us (and our MoF) recoup the loss?
Perhaps we should elect him as our new MoF, and then have him commit political seppuku when he cannot produce the same figures that Oli has been giving us for the past two months.

Also what's up with this article. Are you claiming to have taken the money? I don't get it.
It is unlikely that OliGagnon stole the money. His companies (under Dragonforce Imperial org) did fair business for eJapan's economy and were the recipient of government funds under the "Iron Must Flow" program administered back when I was Minister of Defense last year.
FoH has lots of unscrupulous powergamers who see nothing wrong with citizenship surfing and manipulating political parties, but in my experience, OliGagnon is not one of them.
It was humorous to see those same people who complained about everything non-FoH before now falling all over themselves to console each other. We even got a nice "weeaboo" ad from them: "eJapan supports you, OliGagnon." 😛
eRepublik has bugs, hopefully the situation gets resolved as soon as possible and the Admin take action.
Get back our money, who has it 😉
It's preposterous to suggest you shouldn't have published your previous article. The government that is funded by our taxes is in no position to "demand" we do not criticize it or show dissent.

So by using this to further your own 'anti-FoH' conspiracy, you are being scrupulous.
Well done, KITA.
It seems Japan is the same happy-go-lucky loving and accepting land I left it. Huzzah, what a golden age we live in...

oh my god it's geno. What's up man.
I'm unsure why I was named in your article.
Japan Supports you Oli.
voted.
Hmmmmmm
😑, seriously?
You say he should pay the money back out of pocket.
He says he's going to pay the money back out of pocket.
You say, wow, he'll pay the money back? No, he should kill himself.
...
Are you trying to be funny or something? Or are you just a troll?
