[WHS CP] Resignations, + other news

Day 1,816, 17:14 Published in Ireland Ireland by Winston Hope Smith

Dear friends and fellow eIrish,

I have to convey disappointing news: this evening I have accepted the resignation of both The Psych0/MUFC as my MoD and Ethel as my MoFA.

As many of you will know, passions have been running high with regards The Psych0/MUFC's falling out with the EDEN hierarchy. On consideration, all parties agree that it is not tenable for either minister to serve in their positions whilst these personal grievances remain unresolved. The Psych0/MUFC will, however, continue to see out his term as vCP.

I have contacted a number of excellent replacements and expect to announce a new MoD by tomorrow. In the transitional period, I will assume the duties of MoD. The MoFA position is otherwise being finalised as I write this.

I appreciate that there remain some question marks over our membership of EDEN. However, as I'm sure you all agree, there are proper forums for this. I am not sufficiently convinced that there is a widely held sentiment with regards leaving the alliance. If it becomes apparent that a majority of eIrish wish to reconsider our position in EDEN I will happily have that debate. However, until that time, I will pursue the path mandated by a majority of eIrish citizens and focus on rebuilding the economy. That remains my number one priority and I thank Appleman as MoF for his ongoing work in that regard.

In this difficult period, I am sure we can all agree that we do not need any distractions from our task, however much the loud few privilege scandal and intrigue over hard work and determination.

That leaves me to once again thank The Psych0/MUFC and Ethel and I hope that this does not preclude our working together in the future.

On other matters I wish to draw your attention to the Minister of Finance's article Here. It has come to my attention that most of the orgs are not under the control of the MoF and I, in conjunction with him, will take the steps to retake control. I have also asked the moF to device a policy that will ensure that the nations finances are secured from future theft. This includes the risk of a Country President who turns out to be a thief. Once a plan is ready I will submit to Congress for ratification.

The date has passed for MoC Community Awards nomination so expect the voting to start soon.

Finally the Ministry of Silence is now open again. The Kurgan is there waiting for victims Citizens to visit him and heap praise upon his person.

With thanks for your time

Until next time
