War Occupation Update
Garmr, eUS Secretary of Defense

Last month we invaded Indonesia for a multitude of reasons. As a result of securing full bonuses in our core regions, we have been left with little opportunities for our citizens to be engaged in battles for our own country, and the True Patriot medals that come with it. Next to that, Indo was looking to expand their MPP stack and considered an AS on numerous countries, one of which was Latvia. This gave us a good reason to strike at them to keep the upper hand in the pacific region and secure the future of our allies.

Because we have no threats on our borders, it makes sense to keep a hold on extended regions that we can use for future strategic use and to keep a flow of TP medal income for our citizens. It is because of this that we have no reason to leave Indonesia anytime soon.
Foreign Country Spotlight: eSwitzerland
Tom Cauchon, Secretary of Media

This week proved to be an interesting week for the Swiss in eSwitzerland; once again the dictator module proved to be an inflictor of conflict and strife in foreign countries. eSwitzerland represents the interesting example of having a democratically elected CP, but a non-democratically supported Dictator. The two sides are currently in conflict.

The dictator, BooMBlaj, ascended the dictatorship earlier this week, supported by a group of Romanian players. In an attempt to fight off the group, eSwiss officials raised the WT to 25%, forcing some of the group to leave the country.

BooMBlaj, current eSwiss Dictator

A coup was eventually started against the eSwiss government, and democracy fell to the dictatorship. Massive amounts of CC and gold were spent on both sides in attempt to win the war. Multiple battles went epic in all divisions.

Once again, the dictator module provided a spark of excitement in this game, even if there were winners and losers in eSwitzerland. This only proves that the eUS should remain vigilant and ready to protect American democracy and the homeland should an attack come to us.

Congressional Update
Tyler Bubblar, eUS Deputy Secretary of Media

For the first 20 days this session of Congress was very quiet. BeachBunny was elected Speaker after artfully building support. Frankly I was stunned. I've been Speaker twice now. She wasn't just willing to do the job, but after serving as Speaker in the prior Congress wanted to do it again! Attempting to moderate Congress and the various personalities, grudges, and vendettas of the Senators can be a grueling task.
On the 15th the Public section of Congress came roaring to life. The media module in game flooded with voting instructions. Shout feeds filled with dueling directions as well. Blacklisting was raised as a possibility. After a few days things seemed to calm down. I have no doubt in June we'll see more PP election cycle pyrotechnics but for now things have at least on the surface calmed.
Then things once more erupted. A rebellion against the Dictatorship was started without Congressional approval. Once more the halls of Congress were abuzz. Even more so when it became apparent that do to a previously unnoticed loophole in the law it was unlikely anyone would suffer any real punishment for overthrowing the Dictatorship. Discussion is currently ongoing about repairing the now glaringly obvious shortfalls of our "Benevolent Dictatorship".

The best part of this is that the highlighted discussions and happenings of Congress took place in full view of the public. If you'd like to read over prior Congressional interactions or monitor ongoing interactions please do so. Information in the hands of the voter is a very good thing! You can check out Public Congress here.
