What’s Up with Hungary?

Hungary has always been in an uneasy state in Asteria, because of the presence of Romania there. The presence of the ex EDEN bloc of countries there, which includes Greece, Romania, China and Argentina meant that Hungary was generally ignored, and Serbia was in many cases forced to go with the majority. This didn't sit well with Hungary, whose relations in RL are extremely bad with Romania. Romania's NAP with Bulgaria also had clauses in which BG was not allowed to NE Romania, Greece or Serbia, but Hungary was not mentioned.
Hungary's invasion by Sirius and Aurora, and the lack of support which they received along with several other issues-- like the Asteria SG (who is Romanian in RL) hitting against Hungary in Ukrainian RWs-- proved to be the last straw for them. They gave an ultimatum to Romania to break the Bulgarian NAP and NE Bulgaria to provide direct help to the Huns, but the Romanians did not oblige, leading to Hungary leaving the alliance.
So where's Hungary going from here? No one really knows. Not even Greeling. NSC Chairman Deepchill sums up the situation, saying, “Everyone wants this major powerhouse on their team, but Hungary has to sort out their own friendships first.”

SavageWatson! Savage is honored for his recent work in Education, where he had to step up after his CoSecretary had an unexpected accident in real life. And has done an amazing job since the job of Secretary of Education requires so much now since the job takes up so much time. We congratulate you SavageWatson on being a true American Hero!
War Map and Analysis

The invasion of Hungary has been the top story these days and it is only logical to process this front in today’s war report.
Hungary faced joint invasion by Chile, Poland and Bulgaria.
After Serbia fled from the Chilean border and avoided war, Chile picked Hungary as a new target. They widened the border with Hungary by taking one region from Austria, and soon launched their offensive on Hungary. Chile pushed through Hungary with ease and had to face only smaller problems while preventing Hungary from cutting through the border. Chile is now on the brink of Hungarian cores and looks like nothing can stop it.
Poland joined the invasion from the north where it kicked Hungary from occupied Slovakian regions and marched into its cores. The Hungarian capital (Central Hungary) looks like a logical next target as Poland will try to avoid having a border with Romania for as long as possible.
Occupation of Hungarian cores seems inevitable.
Italian RWs passed with ease and Hungary will soon get kicked out of that region.
On the Eastern side of the Hungarian empire, Bulgaria joined the party. It easily took occupied Ukrainian and Russia regions and scored some nice bonuses. Ukraine’s RWs were successfully opened in the right regions allowing Bulgaria enough space to march deep into enemy territory.
It’s worth mentioning that Hungary and Asteria faced more problems out of the battlefield. Internal problems were caused by the NAP agreement of Serbia, Romania and Bulgaria which left Hungary to deal with potential Bulgarian threats alone. After long discussions within the alliance it all culminated with Hungary leaving Asteria.

When Gnil and myself spoke about this before he was elected, we wanted to change this. We want to start giving you credit for the damage you lay down even though it might not be 2.5 billion like Gnilraps laid down against Canada. There are plenty of eAmericans who follow orders and fight where needed, and we are going to start recognizing those who put forth this type of effort.

Romania has developed strong relations with Hungary, with the latter playing a key role in supporting Romania's bid to join the EU. Romania's ethnic Hungarian party also participated in all the government coalitions between 1996 and 2008 and from 2009. In 1996, Romania signed and ratified a basic bilateral treaty with Hungary that settled outstanding disagreements, laying the foundation for closer, more cooperative relations.
There was an issue about the rights for the Hungarian minority in Romania, but they are now both EU, so saying "extremly bad" isn0t even close to the truth.
Sidenote: Wild Owl cannot into Balkan relations.
Despite both countries being NATO and EU members, Hungary and Romania have recently returned to a war of words – and flags – due to issues concerning Romania’s Hungarian population. If this kind of situation can occur in 2013, what kind of message does it send to aspiring Balkan countries affected by similar, and even more serious disputes?
Romania and Hungary have recently reopened a chronic bilateral disagreement: the so-called ‘Transylvania problem.’ This dispute is affecting local, national and international relationships between local administrations, political parties, and international diplomacy, with the ripple effect being felt as far away as Brussels.
Over history, the territory of Transylvania has often been a subject of dispute between the two states. Now, however, Romania and Hungary are both members in the European Union and in NATO, making it more hard to believe that they would confront each other (through declarations or otherwise) again on the subject of Transylvania’s territory and status.
Nonetheless, on 7 February 2013, the Undersecretary of State in the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Zsolt Nemeth declared at the Kossuth Radio Station that Hungary would take ‘diplomatic measures’ against Romania. This would be in response to the Romanian authorities’ decisions to ban the display of the flag of the so-called Ţinutul Secuiesc (Terra Siculorum or Székelys Land) on the administrative buildings in Romania
The real matter behind the flag scandal is, however, the problem regarding Transylvania’s territorial autonomy. Using as main argument the fact that the ethnic Hungarians were the majority population in the region designated as the Ţinutul Secuiesc, during an Antena 3 TV Show (Sinteza Zilei) broadcasted in the evening of 29 January 2013, Tamás Sándor openly admitted that the real subject of his interest was the ‘territorial autonomy’ of the Tinutul Secuiesc, for which he openly militated. On 2 February 2013, Constantin Niţă, vice-president of the Social Democratic Party, declared – as Jurnalul reported – that Tamás Sándor’s declarations worried him. While the local authorities have and must have administrative autonomy, he said, the “territorial autonomy of Ţinutul Secuiesc is out of the question.”

This is happening due to the fact that Hungary has a very nationalistic oriented Government atm. They need such exposure, it's in their party program. But as said, both countries are EU and NATO, they,ll keep it civilized.
Oh yeah i now its also been going on back and forth awhile my whole point was that it has flared back up again.
I've got a feeling it needs more Greeling.

I closely watched the battle on British Columbia, particularly Div. I (as i am part of it). the mentioned guys really deserve this mentioning and perhaps more. Celtic Knight, you are second to none- you rock, like Pjk Ozark or Dr. Strangeluve--- when these guys entered the battle they made sure they take the battle not only a BH.
