The Lion and the Mouse

Having returned to eRepublik from a long time away I see that in reality little has changed. The biggest change being the Dictator module bringing more power to the Military Unit - What a surprise! Fighting is where the money is for the game and the most interest for most players.
Unfortunately the Economy module is still broken in that the only way to make anything is to work in your own factories, you won’t make any money employing people unless you push the system hard.

The other thing that hasn’t changed is the Avatars! “What have you been doing?” I think to myself.
So time to go a little deeper, well there is the new discord thing for communication but there don’t seem to be a lot of people there. Lots of people I used to know and a few new friends (hopefully)
BUT most of them seem to be 2 clickers now, there seems to be a lack of enthusiasm, especially at this moment when eIsrael has been wiped off the map (again). Most of the people I knew are wandering around the world fairly aimlessly rather than trying to defend our eCountry. I seem to remember that one of the main reasons I left this game was the apathy, people weren't ready to try and do something together and so the country failed.

So what to do. Well it must be time to try and inject some enthusiasm, or I suppose just leave you all to your apathy.
Well I can’t leave you my friends, so we must try and change the mouse into a Lion!

So how to change the mouse into a Lion? Any Ideas?

My personal opinion is that we need to get together and act as one. We need to draw the wanderers back and get everyone involved. I have my own ideas how to do this but what do you think? What would you want to see?

Well it's great to see you again, you probably don't remember me because i was hard to notice at the 2011, but there is stil lot of people here.

the main problem is depression - we tried many times to revive to eIsraeli community with endless efforts but it seems most of the people (as they should) feel like plato betrayed them and lied to them too many times, and to be honest, even if they played, after so much time without proper training we can't do much.

I am very sceptic about the new upgrades, and i don't think eIsrael will ever be a lion, i also believe that we can't have a nation anymore - however we can stay as community, unlike diffrent times we are way more cooperated and we can play together in the times we are here.

The IRC was very dead at the time we started using discord, it's not like the old times when you had tens of active players on IRC every hour at the day, we have now a new way to communicate - all day long, not only when we are online, it's great, and we should induce it.

Welcome back, having a guy like you with us again is a great news.

yap, at the beginning, people were entustiastic, and the game made fun, playing in a good community. What is left, nowadays: the game itself never changed from a 2-clicking to something exciting, only a few "addons" were introduced. So, it is basically a boring game, compared to the many others available. Therfore, i doubt, we can interst a lot, even the old guys, who are "wandering" around.

The best thing to become more active is getting involved in politics. Get a position in the government, talk to other representatives, get a job in an alliance. This is what will keep you busy. And if you have enough time to spare you will see that it actually makes fun too.
