[SPQR] Ipsa Scientia Potestas Est

Day 1,877, 18:04 Published in USA USA by Azazel Romanov

So I haven't written in a bit, so I decided I'd update you on some opinions I currently hold. This should be a fun article reflecting my own opinions, so don't take it as "official opinion" or the "government word." Remember, I don't even work as Media Secretary anymore, and Civil Anarchy will be taking over the WHPR from now. What you hear here is the God's Cellular and my thoughts.

First topic, I know a lot of people are thinking about war. The United States hasn't been involved in war for quite some time, since we took over Taiwan and beat them back into South Korea and Japan. We could continue chasing Taiwan into these regions, but this would be quite time consuming and pretty muddy. There is a lot of room for Taiwan to RW us over and over, which means a lot of NEs declared over and over against Japan and South Korea. We could just hit Canada, which is right across the border and for the taking. But that's too easy, what is the challenge in beating up the wimpy neighbor kid you used to hang out with? Mexico is to the south, but they are out of the question and that will be talked about later. With that, I present China.

As you know, Spain recently tried to attack China, but was beaten back and retreated to the lower Philippines. Currently, we hold a border with China due to our military district in Taiwan. Our relations with China have been strained and diminishing due to Brazil's conflicts with EDEN and our occupation of their protectorate, Taiwan. While there are risks to pursuing this war, and we have long been warned of a "land war in Asia," I think it is time to spice things up again. I have no love for EDEN, no connection to China, and I would like to start causing some patriotic damage in a war that could prove a challenge and last for some time. I don't hate you China, but you're just so damn tempting. I think a message needs to be sent to EDEN that their time as an alliance is over, and a blow to China could be the beginning of the end for them. This would also further the ties we've established with our bros Brazil who seem itching to go after EDEN, as well as our friends in CoT who don't seem to keen on the alliance either.

Another topic I'd like to get into is Circle of Trust. As you can see, our national administration the past two months has been pushing for closer relations with the alliance. The most recent publication was showing the damage we did for Mexico. In previous articles, I talked about the optimism I had for CTRL, and how I believed in a third way for the United States. I truly think that continuing the course with CoT presents us with this path. I know the reservations you might have about this. First, we have the ties we had with EDEN previously, but I think you need to wake up and realize that EDEN's time has eclipsed. The alliance can't even defend itself, and is being attacked from all sides. Secondly I know you worry about TWO's connection with CoT, but remember most importantly that they are not the same alliance, and they have different priorities. Right now the main thing keeping them together is their goal of taking down EDEN, something even I support. Circle of Trust represents a new course for the eUS to take, and I'd be interested to see the results of increased cooperation between the two parties.

Lastly, it appears the empire is already growing. I've had a vision about America's future. I have seen what we can do. I witnessed the capture of several barbarians and the creation of a prison to cage these heathens. Dura lex sed lex. While CoT is the way abroad, Nova Roma is the path we must take internally and outwardly. I recommend all players follow a new course lest you join the imprisoned. We must reawaken our populace and build the American Empire. Credite posteri. Together we can be something greater, and together we can reshape this world in our image. Accept Publius as your Emperor, and let him lead you to Nova Roma. Let us restore our country to what it once was, what it should be, what it deserves to be. Nil desperandum, veritas vos liberabit. I also suggest you begin learning Latin, lest you lose focus.
