[Presidents office] The fall of a nation

Day 2,318, 16:31 Published in Norway Norway by Jasper Zuidema

Hello readers!

Another busy couple days have gone by! We have been working around the clock coordinating attacks between ourselves. Our war fronts seem to be going very well (Great maybe I just jinxed it now!) Germany is on the verge of loosing all core regions to Sweden and Finland's doing very well against the UK. I would like to thank all those that have fought so hard for us the last couple of days, everyone has done such a suberb job!

I would also like to report that our congress elections went very well, with the three regions that we had, we had enough for a 30 seat congress, however not all where filled but enough for a 27 member congress. I will be releasing another article shortly from our National committee with those results.

Sweden/Norway vs Germark (Germany/Denmark)

1) Sweden ventured into the German cores capturing 3 regions (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony Anhalt, Brandenburg and Berlin, the later being the most prized) While Norway attacked Germany in Midjylland, simultaneously Sweden attacked Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg. At the same time, Denmark started multiple Resistance wars in Nordjylland and Syddanmark to prevent Norway from moving south.

2) A resistance war for Norway was started in Nord-Norge by Germany, presumably to drain damage away from Midjylland. Denmark secured Nordjylland and we lost our border with Germany ending our NE, Both Sweden and Norway failed to secure there battles.

3) Sweden was repelled from Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg and Germany was now able to counter attack into Saxony Anhalt. However Sweden is holding strong and looks to hold the region. Should Sweden win, they will surly counter attack back into Schleswig-Holstein. This will end with the capture of all German cores that where held before the start of this war.

4) Denmark played it smart and left Midtjylland in German control for them to have congress. This way Norway will have to NE Denmark and then Germany, then Denmark again as they hold Sydannmark to reach down into German cores. Discussions are being made between Asgard on our next moves. We also will have to contend with the new defense shield after the National shield tournament ended.

Finland vs United Kingdom

1) After failing to secure any resistance wars, the UK NE'ed Finland and launched a counter attack gaining back its core regions. With Asgard bogged down with war against Germark which received priority, Finland lost some momentum and was pushed back to Trondelag.

2) With the battles cooling down in Germark our focus turned towards the Finnish front. Finland turned the tide in Trondelag and the UK tried to resistance war Vestlandet for Norway to block Finland's counter attack. We made sure to fight for the UK to let Finland steam roll back into the UK.

3) Finland picks up pace, they crush UK in Vestlandet and push further into Scotland and Northern Ireland, taking back the regions they previously held and liberating them from further English oppression.

4) Currently Finland is attacking the Northwest of England and is winning in that campaign. UK started a resistance war in Scotland but it appears Finland will secure that region as well! We look to be in great shape!

Our Australian Relations

The past couple days we have been working towards establishing relations with Australia. We have just finished signing an MPP together and that should be the grounds for a fruitful friendship between our two nations. They are in a similar situation that we faced last term when FYROM decided they could easily trample over us. Right now if you take a look at the map there regions are divided between 3 nations. These three are Indonesia, Chile and FYROM, all using the regions for there own benefits. I've noticed Australia has been trying to resistance war Southern Australia and Victoria back, but there unwelcomed enemies are firm in wanting to stay planted there.

I quite enjoyed having gotten into contact (Infact, I was invited to join on vPop as well by Tim Holtz, for those that know what it is) The Aussies are very friendly, welcoming and easy to communicate with, they should very easily be able to make great friends with us, I've discovered that we share many of the same ideas and feelings. I've also taken the chance to reopen the embassy as well so we can make sure to stay in contact.

Best Regards,
