[Presidents Office] Closing remarks of February

Day 2,296, 17:10 Published in Norway Norway by Jasper Zuidema

Hello Readers,

This month went by a lot faster than I had expected it too and I believe I have had good term. Of course it wasn't totally perfect, there is always the room for changes that should be made and because of that, I'll be looking to correct some of those problems going into this new term, If you feel that you noticed something that I didn't feel free to tell me! This term has really taught me some new aspects of the game that I didn't know before and tested my judgment many times with how I dealt in situations, Lets look at a summary of this term:

Activity in Norway and Asgar😛

Over all I was actually quite pleased with the activity in Norway this month, our government kept good discussions going during this crucial time with everyone offering good input when needed, there could have been a few improvements, but I guess that can happen with any government. I want to take the time to thank all those who partook in my government, It was a pleasure getting to work with you all, and I look forward to getting to work with you this next term! I was also happy with our reps in AsgardHQ, great work done by them and good amounts of activity! Lets try to keep that going into March!

Foreign Affairs:

This term was indeed really busy for us, and I must admit it didn't go according to plan exactly, most of the time, we had to adapt very quickly to the changes that where happening, and the gov responded well to this pressure. I had stated at the beginning of my February term that I had intended to pursue a pro-Serbia policy. That we have, we ended up signing MPP's with all the founding nations of Asteria. Asgard also went on to pursue and sign the Asgard/Asteria pact. My term started off rocky when FYROM suddenly proposed Norway for an AS, after which negotiations broke down without a deal leading to war between all of Asgard and FYROM. With help from Asteria, Asgard and our long time allies, We managed to boot them out of Scandinavia just before congress elections. Next we turned our attention towards the UK and managed to retake most of our lost regions from them, even invading Scotland and holding it for some time but they quickly managed to regain them, Now we seem to have a ping pong war on our hands, so into next term we will need to look at our options about this war. We should establish stronger contact with our long time allies as well.

Our other ministries

I had set out to reinstate the national committee, to discuss internal problems within Norway, it turned out pretty well and I'm putting together one next term. There where some very good discussions going on between members, but the committee will need a bit of tweaking. One of my other goals was to update the Ministry of Immigration website as the information there is quite outdated, My hope was to write in a more neutral speaking tone so that the website wouldn't have to be updated again, unfortunately I was not able to get access to the site so I wasn't able to accomplish that one. Magnus Barelegs had some good articles going for our new players and we should continue next term by releasing more, I also want to thank Morten Asphaug for the work he did this term distributing food to our players!

Defiantly has been a very busy term, for everyone. Never had I thought that I would set my alarm for 2:30 AM in the morning 3 consecutive nights in a row just to set an attack, amazingly we had won those battles too! (Jamtland, Svealand and Trondelag + Resistance Wars, and the battles Sweden and Finland fought as well!)I had lots of fun, watching all the battles that happened, must say that one at the beginning of my term in Ostlandet vs UK was especially nail bitting. It was so close, it came down to the last round who was going to win that fight, luckily it was us! And that concludes this term! Hope March will be just as fun!

Best Regards
