[Presidents Office] Analysis of events in Scandinavia

Day 2,284, 17:13 Published in Norway Norway by Jasper Zuidema

Hello fellow Norwegians and readers,

Time has been flying and I have enjoyed my term so far, CP elections are already just 12 days away from now. So far there has been a lot of action and I'm pleased to say our government is very active this term and its awesome that we are getting lots of input on this situation.

The past couple days have rocked Scandinavia with a blanket of war following the AS proposed by FYROM, they took immediate action by declaring war on Sweden and placing an NE on Finland, Norway followed suite by declaring NE on FYROM. At the same time the UK also decided that they would weasel there way into the war by helping FYROM and hoped to take a couple regions from Norway, they are probably in pursuit of their precious deer region from Sweden as well, we managed to drive them out of Scandinavia initially by taking Ostlandet and then Vestlandet, we then turned our immediate attention to the bigger threat FYROM.

Details on War front in Scandinavia from Map -

FYROM – (Step1) was the AS on Svalbard and Jan Mayen, from there they proceeded to take Nord-Norge (Step 2) and attack Trondelag (Step 3) which ended with the capture of all Norwegian regions, FYROM then proceeded to declare war on Sweden (Step 4) Finland reacted by placing an NE on FYROM. They followed suite and also placed an NE on Finland. (Step 5) Involved the counter attack on Finland after heavy resistance in Nord-Norge brought the battle in FYROM’s favour, they also attacked Sweden in Svealand. The attack on Lapland failed but Svealand was secured by FYROM opening up a way into Finland in the south.

Norway – First priority (Step 1) was to defend Ostlandet in an MPP battle, we where lucky that our allies stepped in to help defend us, at the same time a RW was opened in Vestlandet, luckily both battles turned in our favour. I watched in eager anticipation, the battle in Ostlandet was especially nail biting with both sides coming very close, Norway however prevailed. With our new border with FYROM we proposed an NE on them, (Step 2) Involved the attack on Jamtland Hajedalen taken by FYROM, which was planned the cut off FYROM’s advance in the south through Sweden and into Finland. Norway won and at the same time the auto attack on Scotland which took place ended in the favour of the UK as it was not a priority (Step 3) Proceeding to cut off FYROM advance in the south we attacked Svealand and secured that region, (Step 4) was the final attack on Trondelag and the RW started in Svalbard and Jan Mayen.

Sweden – After FYROM declared war on Sweden they were immediately attacked in Jamtland Hajedalen (Step 1) loosing that region initially they also lost Svealand (Step 2) FYROM then proceeded to attack Sweden in Norrland and Sameland (Step 3) but the Swedes put up stiff resistance and held onto that region. During this time Sweden has also had to fight against Lithuania to the south losing almost all regions.

Finland – FYROM declared war on Sweden, Finland immediately put an NE of FYROM. (Step 1) They attacked Nord-Norge coming very close to winning but where initially defeated (Step 2) FYROM counter attacked Finland on there home turf in Lapland but Finland prevailed, they decided to attack again (Step 3) and took Nord-Norge from FYROM pushing them back to Svalbard.

United Kingdom – After loosing Sorlandet and Ostlandet the UK decided that they wanted to NE Norway and help FYROM, they opened an attack in Ostlandet (Step 1) but where defeated narrowly in an MPP fight, Vestlandet was also lost at the same time to the resistance force of Norway. Having lost both battles Norway proceeded to counter attack in Scotland (Step 2) but where easily defeated. (Step 3) United Kingdom launched an attack on Vestlandet and took it back, they immediately decided to attack Ostlandet as well taking that region(Step 4)

Out come of the War? What's next?

After several days of hard fighting from both sides, It appears that we have finally got the upper hand on the situation, FYROM has lost almost all the regions that they set out of conquer from us having only Svalbard and Jan Mayen left which was originally AS’ed. It should fall to the Resistance force of Norway. This will mean that they are out of Scandinavia for good and we can turn our attention else where. The UK still remains a threat having taken both Vestlandet and Ostlandet, we have proposed an NE on them just now, Lithuania is also going to become a problem as the last region south of us owned by Sweden is about to be taken leaving us open to an NE by them as well as we are the only ones sharing a common border with them. What will happen in the next few days? I honestly can't tell you how things are going to turn out, this term has been very hard to predict and so will the coming days, I would have never guessed when I started my term what events have happened up until this point, that is why we have had to adapt quickly to the changing situations.

I would like to take the time to thank all those who fought for Norway, Sweden and Finland the past couple days, a tremendous amount of damage has been put in to help us in our struggle against FYROM and the United Kingdom, We also happened to sign several MPP’s during this time which aided us greatly, big thanks to Asteria for there help and of course our fellow brothers in Asgard! Also big thanks to all our other allies as well! I noticed many times France’s CP shouting to help fight for Asgard, and Canada I noticed as well, your support is greatly appreciated!

What else is going on right now?

Congress elections are just around the corner and we are looking in pretty good shape, we have the regions that we need. If you plan to run for congress please make sure that you will run from a region that doesn't face the danger of being wiped like Sorlandet for example, we almost have Svalbard & Jan Mayen secured and I would suggest to candidate yourselves there as Finland will protect us in Nord-Norge. However we still face a possible PTO threat, the Norwegian Royal Party continues to grow in size and they are free to put up as many congress members as they would like, to the other parties in Norway please watch when your finalizing the Congress lists! hopefully we can get them banned before that will happen. I'll have an article released from the National Committee with a statement about congress elections in a few days.

Best Regards,
Jasper Zuidema
