[President SORA] Congress, check. But regions?

Day 2,107, 07:02 Published in Philippines Republic of China (Taiwan) by Analia Arnheim
Al Raposas third (seventh) State of the Republic Address

Filipinos and foreigners alike, greetings.

It is a known Filipino trait to value punctuality, especially in submitting a report to the nation, how big or small the population is. I greatly apologize if this came in very late. Actually, four days late because I was in the province where I only have limited internet access. Again, I want to apologize to you.

After three months, we have now achieved having Congress. Also, we just not achieved having one region for ten congressmen, but three for thirty congressmen. Sadly, Visayas, the fourth region, was not liberated and it is still unknown who sponsored that failed resistance war.

Now, it may have been a wonder to most of the citizens not involved in the government why it is now Pakistan that is invading our core regions. I have to say to you today that the Philippine government is nowhere consulted. There had been an agreement between Pakistan and China that they will be renting two of our regions and the proceeds will definitely go to China. Well, I do not want to be fiery in my address today but that is how diplomacy runs. The occupier got the right to negotiate more than the occupied. Besides, Pakistan's got the money.

As I said, the Philippines is not consulted. I did try asserting our national interests in our own core regions, but this was to no avail as of the time being. However, you and I may think: why would China need gold or money? They have more than 1,300 gold and more than 4 million yuan. Pakistan does not even have 1%. We could have just rented our own regions in the first place. These two countries still have to clear this "agreement" to the Philippines. We may be weak, but we will still stand firm on safeguarding our national interests.

Now, China says that they did not have any renting agreement with anybody. However, Pakistan asserts that the Philippines is theirs to take and they will be swapping regions with Indonesia. I do not want to make it more confusing for the Filipino people anymore. For these countries, please make a firm stand, too.

Now, this rising problem that we still have to circumvent is our low level of population. In my last SORA, we are well above the 250 level, with our population standing at 255. Today, it had made a moderate growth to 273. We rose from rank 68 then to rank 66 now.

Now that we have Congress, this number is still expected to grow, but only on moderate rates. Reaching the 300 level and maintaining it could be our immediate goal for the remainder of this term. However, each of our citizens must work to have at least one invited citizen and help him or her grow to Level 21 and 23. I am promising 50 PHP once you send me the link of your invited citizen, another 50 PHP if you help him or her reach Level 21, and another 50 PHP for reaching Level 23.

Those 44 citizens that managed to make it to the national list of the Philippines during the last National Shield Tournament will be receiving their individual rewards of gold from the government this week. I have made it a progressive reward system, meaning the best will get more, the worst will get less. Thank you once more for giving your efforts for the Philippines.

One more thing, it may be hard for me to do this but I believe that I must make a statement concerning some alleged issues of vote buying during the Congress elections. During the Macedonian PTO that we have ardently opposed for months, they used this method also to win against my second failed bid for presidency. This article and this one also may have been better if they just used the name of the Philippine government if they just wanted to distribute supplies for our needy citizens, not to boost partisan campaign. I think I said enough.

"We are different from those that we oppose. Those that we oppose are happy with the material wealth, but for how long?"
-- Benigno Simeon Aquino, Jr (Los Angeles speech, 1983)

As of the moment, Day 2107, the treasury now stand at around 44,200 PHP. A full 13,000 PHP rise from Day 2097 (around 42% increase). This was done partially with one region, and partially with three regions. As seen from the past month, our financial standing is expected to grow by 6% every week without any region. However, with the new work taxes enforced by Plato in effect, we expect this figure to change since we can now provide jobs locally after the liberation of Mindanao. Predicting with these figures, we can now see some 3-4% growth each day in our financial standing, with it punching through the 50,000 level in the next seven days. However, with the government now having access to the Treasury, this figure will definitely be reduced.

The supply program will still continue. We have upgraded our supplies this time, making all weapons distributed Q6. All you need to do is to fill up the form being given whenever Battle Orders are released by the Minister or Vice Minister of Defense. The program is now open up to citizens with the Level 36 below. I now have plans to expand the program further by increasing the number of supplies being sent individually at one time. The people must now feel our successes.

Yours truly,
