Join the new world

Comrades,

I would like to thank you all for your support in the recent Party President elections. There has been a period of IRC and ingame stagnation due to the PTO, but plans have been put in place for a turn-around to occur and now we can start to introduce these plans into the party sphere.

It is important that we start the new term with an atmosphere of ambition, activity and enthusiasm. However, this road to a recovery can only start when all our members are striving for the same goals through the same means and that is why I will be re-introducing the Rexian messaging system back as soon as possible. Please feel free to voice your opinions and ideas, as well as take part in a bit of banter with the lads.

There is an IRC #pcp quiz set for this sunday at the normal 8pm GMT. The quiz is open to anyone that wants to participate and the quiz will be a team game (with a maximum of 3 members per team). Each team will nominate a ‘scribe’ who will query me with their teams answers. Unfortunately, I am currently too poor to afford prizes for runner-ups and I would be eternally grateful if someone were to donate some prizes for the cause.

If you don’t use IRC or are not interested in any quizzes, then there will be a knock-out round sweepstake for the World Cup. There will be 16 teams that will be available to be randomly picked as and the winner will, obviously, win a prize. The sweepstake will start as soon as all of the group stage matches have finished and it is open to all PCP members (unless there is a lack of interested PCP members, and then the remaining countries will be available to anyone who is interested).
