[NN] Message to Kordak II

Day 2,724, 06:06 Published in Netherlands Netherlands by Mattio

(I guess you don’t really care about my opinions so go ahead and don’t read this article, but I would be very glad if 25 people commented here, because reasons… 😛 )

With the votes having been checked on multi abuse, the CP elections are now officially concluded with Kordak being chosen our new President.

Earlier, I expressed my concerns about Kordak’s capabilities to lead our community. I still have some of my original doubts, but I also have good faith as well as hope. Kordak responded to my request to join me in an open dialogue, which was short but pleasant. To me, this shows that our new President is more than willing to be a leader to everyone, not only to those who support him but to those who have their doubts, too.

In the same way, it was pleasant to see that Kordak’s opponent, Legendardisch, whom I voted for yesterday, had the moral courtesy to openly apologize for an article he published in which he attacked Kordak ad hominem. I personally believe it is okay to show the incapability of your opponent, but like many, I had great difficulties supporting Legendardisch’s article in its original state which was quite foul. This led to a very nasty situation and all in all, these CP elections were all but a friendly competition between two gentlemen.

Over the past few days, Kordak’s government got more “color”, so to speak, and it now looks like a trustworthy team that will hopefully do a great job. This month may turn out to be a very important one, now that we have our four original regions back and the future looks brighter than it did just a few months ago. I wish the government team nothing but the best of luck.

To conclude, I hope Kordak will allow me to give him one advice. I see him as a friend, though I do not know if he sees me in the same way. I will not soon forget how he helped me write my first article after I had been away for about three years and I want him to know that this advice is therefore genuine: I wouldn’t bother giving advice to someone I barely know or with whom I have no connection.

Kordak, Legendardisch was right when he said you can be fierce at times. I don’t believe it is new for you to hear this. It’s good to be passionate about your political view (it’s obligatory to be a good politician), but being too fierce can and will be counter-productive as Country President. As President, you are a leader and you are the one who sets a course, but your Ministers and State Secretaries are there to do the work. Check in on them, see how they are doing and encourage them, but leave it with that. Be careful not to interfere too much with how things going if they aren’t going 100% as you planned them. With Tonie as your VP and ElGorro as Dictator and therefore automatically advisor, you have two of the greatest players at your back. Check in on them, feel free to ask their advice. They will be glad to give it. No one is a good CP by nature and no one can become a good CP without taking advice from those who have earned their stripes.

Kordak, I wish you the best of luck.

Thanks for reading, I salute,
