[NAZ4POTUS] CoT’s Sleep and Final Words

Day 2,176, 13:23 Published in USA USA by Azazel Romanov

CoT’s Sleep

I want to keep this shorter than the rest; I simply felt that one area deserved an update due to recent events. Today it is hard to avoid the news of CoT’s demise, and this hits people like me particularly hard. As someone who has worked to keep the alliance functional, I have seen the decay over the recent months. CoT’s time was coming, but the decision by the parties involved came quicker than expected. The eUS itself has already begun the vote to leave the alliance and go about its foreign affairs independently. So then there is the big question: what does this change?

For the eUS, not a lot. For now. We are still bound to our treaty and we still intend to keep friendships with the countries that formally made up CoT. As of yet. There is not a big shake-up in foreign affairs other than the removal of an inefficient alliance structure. The World is Ours still dominates the battlefield, and many of our allies struggle against occupiers and aggressors. People are right to assume that opportunities are on the horizon, but they are not yet in the sky. I am not going to promise the creation of a new alliance immediately. In fact, it is those sort of decisions that make our foreign policy unstable and turbulent. Everything must be carefully considered, such as our domestic attitude, our allies’ course, and our adversaries’ decisions.

The age of smart diplomacy for the eUS must begin. We should not rush decisions when we have the time to make them, nor should we jump aboard initiatives without proper debate and consideration. We can be intelligent and pursue a course that maintains our friendships and opens up new doors. An alliance is good, but bilateral relationships have always been more important in the development of foreign policies. We will also evaluate our stance with neutrals or enemies to see what relationships we can form as a country independent of an alliance. Our friends are important, but so are our opponents. I've been involved in foreign affairs a long time, so I know how these things work. Alongside my MoFA team, we can handle the coming changes. I will watch the developments and respond accordingly, but I'm not going to make hasty and costly decisions.

I am sad to see you go CoT, but hopefully new seeds can be planted.

Final Words

So we finally reach the end of our campaign journey. Everyone is writing up their final words and promises, so I assume it is my turn to do so as well. This is only the second campaign I have been involved in, but I must say it was probably the most interesting. No matter the outcome, I am thankful for the number of questions, comments, and support I have been given during this campaign. Even some of my opponents have become close to me during this race, and I know we will be in good hands next month. We have made running for president an enjoyable enterprise again, and we should not forget what this election has given us so far, even before the results start appearing.

What else is there to say? I have presented to you all a team of rivals, and I have broken down my plans for each area in the domestic and abroad. The fall of CoT changes some things, but I still intend to give a strong focus to the domestic next term. We need it. We will be going uphill but eventually we will make it to the top.

As I have stated before, my goals are always the success of our country. The game and time have made us weary, but we are still here fighting for it. We still care about its well being, and indirectly, about each other’s success. Something is still alive and vibrant in this game, and I aim to restore it to former glory and prestige. I find it amazing that people can still surprise me in this game, despite playing for little over a year. Hopefully I can still surprise you all as well.

I look forward to the voting, and I hope you keep me in consideration. One last time for effect: Vote NewAzazel for President of the United States. But more importantly, just vote.
