[MTG] Black Death

Day 2,774, 20:02 Published in Canada Canada by Rylde

Yes I nicknamed my deck Black Death.

This article is directed towards Natsters article of wanting to get people to write. Of course eCananda is still in an unstoppable spiral of boredom and 20 tanks wasn't going to get anyone off there asses to write.

That's what happens when you don't go to war and surround yourself with CPF hacks that are MIA half the time.

Soulcage here is a personal favorite of mine even though it kicks me in the ass as well. It has won me many games or created draws when I was looking at defeat.

Besides me of course because I just wish to show off my first original MTG deck build since I started playing a few years ago.
Its evolved over the last few sets but I haven't bothered to buy or play the last block after moving from my magic group.

Can't win a conventional war?
Mutilate the battlefield.

Off the hop Liliana of the Veil is my favorite planeswalker card and quite pricey at that around $80-90 per and I use 2 in this deck. As is a usual staple with black you sometimes have to hurt yourself to hurt the enemy.

Her discard ability can be annoying to yourself at times but she can affectively remove alot of unremoval creatures at time if there on the enemies field alone.

Deck Build

20x Mana

Creatures

4x Soulcage Fiend
4x Geralfs Messenger
4x Vampire Nighthawk
3x Butcher Ghoul
3x Blood Artist
3x Gray Merchant of Asphodel
1x Phyrexian Obliterator

2x Liliana of the Veil

Spells

4x Murder
3x Mutilate
2x Bone Splinters
2x Exsanguinate
2x Read the Bones
2x Altars Reap
2x Killing Wave

Its no tournament winner or anything but one of my best that I've created and stands a fair chance against most decks in duels or multiplayer.

I consider it a jack of all trades deck with enough creatures, removal, board wipes and card draw to hold it own. The blood artists and Gray Merchants can also muck up the game in my favour when the board wipes hit the table.

If your a MTG player feel free to judge it.

Killing Wave is another favorite of mine and fits in well with the whole sacrifice theme of the deck.
