WESTERN AND NORTHERN EUROPE


Day1,482 of the new world


Switzerland & Slovenia


Relations between Slovenia and Switzerland have never been better. In addition to honouring our agreement we have agreed to keep Graubunden (fruits) and Svizzera italiana (cows) and return Romandie. In addition, we signed a MPP with our comrades in South Africa, providing even more battles for our upcoming soldiers. Well done Rican!



Austria & Czechs


Since the Styria-Southern Bohemia Treaty, Austria have not made any changes to their agreement. As such, they currently have Southern Bohemia, while Czechoslovakia keeps Styria and Burgenland. Austria has been undertaking a weapon donating program for noobs and a Writers’ contest this week in the meantime. There has been underlying rifts in the Czech | Slovakian union but nothing that has caused a major stir.




Belgium


Belgium since the whole commotion with France, have now returned to their original neutral state. They have relatively few MPPs and their 61 year old CP has made it clear that they have no intentions of taking on their clog wearing neighbours.




Estonia vs Finland



Though the Estonians have fought off many Finish attacks, they found fighting against Finland, Romania and Russia overwhelmingly difficult. Consequently, Estonia is now completely wiped with Finland in control of 3 Estonian regions, Romaina controls one and Russia controls the other. After taking care of Estonia the CP of Finland proposed a war against Sweden 'accidentally' which was rejected by congress. Since then, Finland has been focusing their efforts towards helping PTO'd Norway.





France vs Serbia



USA has been on the offensive for a majority of the past few days and successfully liberated the French region of Aquitaine from Serbia. The campaign lasted the full 15 rounds, even with heavy tanking by ONE, the combined forces of EDEN and TERRA were victorious. France, United Kingdom, Germany and Portugal who originally signed the Strasbourg Treaty have now dismantled the non-aggression pact as members of treaty have now found themselves on opposite sides since the treaty was originally signed. Rumours are France are eager to gain regions from Belgium, the Netherlands or the UK for some time now. The Prdojevski agreement was signed by both CPs of Bulgaria and Serbia agreeing not declare war before the end of the agreement. Serbia is still ranked #1 in erep, but has come a long way in the last 2 weeks. From controlling 38 regions with all possible region bonuses, down to 20 regions and only half the need bonuses. As such, Serbia have sought what they believe as an simpler solution; wipe Albania then take on the others. Serbia have spoken out publicly against the actions of Turkey against Iran and have made it clear who they consider their allies. I image, partly as many citizens from Turkey voted for Kosovo to not be a Serbian region. Serbia hopes to stabilize the Turkey/Iran situation and prevent Iran from joining Eden but looks doubtful so far.




Germany & Poland



Germany and Poland have been renegotiating their deal, so far there has been indications that the deal is going well. The actual details are only available to congress and due to be released soon. Germany are also trying to organise a Training War as well as secure a MPP with Italy. Also in Germany Slayer10 is know as BUNDESBANKRÄUBER! Poland have suffered huge loses against the USA, and even worst against Canada. Despite this Poland remains the most powerful military power. In the alliance ONE, Poland has joined forces with junior members Turkey by signing a Military pact dubbed …. (drum roll) … Two-in-ONE.



Ireland vs UK



The Ireland vs UK battle still continues, with Ireland boasting their might by taking London. Though they did not keep London for very long, Ireland still maintains the upper hand. The UK is now an official member of ONE, after ending all ties with non pro-ONE countries (ie terminating the Strasbourg Treaty).




Italy vs Slovenia & Serbia



Italy has had some success recently. By RWing 3 of their regions from Serbia, unfortunately all the same resource (fish). Italy has been forcing Serbia to split their damage as they have simultaneous fronts to defend. Slovenians on the other hand have been buzzing with excitement as they get ready to take on their old arch nemesis Croatia once more.




Netherlands vs Poland


Netherlands have made an public application to join EDEN as a full member. The eNL community is a small but vibrant one who are hoping to achieve a babyboom.





Portugal vs Spain



The Spain vs Portugal war lasted a lot less shorter than I had originally anticipated. Despite the vast amount of troll articles being written on both sides, the Spain CP proposed peace which was accepted by both parties. By this time Portugal had lost several of its conquered Venezuelan regions and came close to passing an impeachment proposal from several disgruntled members of congress. Spain benefited from the the peace proposal as they've had their hands full with Argentina.
