Hello Citizens of the eUK! Unless you've been hiding under a rock for the past few months or you're new; you'll know that erepublik is about to change to Version 2. (Or Erepublik Rising as to give its official name) This article explains the migration and the open beta.

Migration

The admin's released an article two weeks ago that said there are two types of migrations: manual ones (the ones that you decide how to migrate) and automatic ones. It has now got to the stage where any citizen is now able to migrate their skills manually. If you do not migrate them within the next two weeks then an automatic migration will take place which will be calculated according to some default rules; In the beta the skills are automatically migrated and they are evenly distributed so I would suggest using the manual option for the real version 2.

To Migrate Manually you need to go to your profile page and you should notice a box that says "Get ready for Erepublik Rising!" An example is shown below.

There are two types of migration for a citizen account. These are Economic Skills and Military Strength. Currently in Version 1 we click the "Work" and "Train" buttons and not much choice is given into our skill. In Version two this changes with 11 different economic skills and 4 different military strengths. Below the migration for these two different aspects is explained in more detail.

Economic Skills

The different professions for Version 2 are listed here:

1. Producers, that create one component of food and moving tickets.
2. Marketing managers, that create the other component of food and moving tickets.
3. Project managers, that produce a component of defense systems, hospitals, and moving tickets.
4. Carpenters, that produce one component - roofs - for houses.
5. Builders, that produce one component of houses, hospitals and defense systems.
6. Architects, the produce one component of houses and hospitals.
7. Engineers, that produce one component of all weapons.
8. Mechanics, that produce one component of all weapons.
9. Fitters produce one component of all weapons.
10. Technicians produce ammunition.
11. Harvesters are what we call "Land" workers in Version 1.

These professions are put in simpler terms below

Producer applies to: Food, Moving Tickets
Marketing Manager applies to: Food, Moving Tickets
Project Manager applies to: Moving Tickets, Hospital, Defense System
Carpenter applies to: House, Hospital
Builder applies to: House, Hospital, Defense System
Architect applies to: House, Defense System
Engineer applies to: Rifle, Tank, Artillery, Air Unit
Mechanics applies to: Rifle, Tank, Artillery, Air Unit
Fitter applies to: Rifle, Tank, Artillery, Air Unit
Technician applies to: Rifle, Tank, Artillery, Air Unit
Harvester applies to: Grain, Oil, Titanium, Stone, Iron

From this list I suggest that you choose one profession that you like the best so that you can pursue it in Version 2.

Migration is very easy; an example is shown below.

Here I have decided to put 100% of my V1 Skill points into Producer. I recommend that when you decide how to spend your skill points you only choose one profession as this means you'll have a higher productivity in that one area which will mean a higher wage.

How skill points are calculated

In the new module you will receive the equivalent to the days worked as skill points. In other words don't worry about if others have a higher combined skill as they've worked to boost up the other professions in Version 1; it will all be about days you have worked. So say you have 1 hard worker medal; this means you have worked at least 30 days.

Example: I, myself have 11 hard worker medals meaning that in the new module I will have over 330 points in the new module.

Military strength

There are 4 types of Military Strength in Version 2. These are listed below.

Rifle - Strong against Artillery
Tank - Strong against Rifles
Artillery - Strong against Air Units
Air Unit - Strong against Tanks

From this list I suggest you choose one main Strength to carry on in version 2 and possibly distribute the rest of your points to the other types.

Migration is similar to that of the Economic skills; but this time you only have the four options. An example is shown below of Betafoxtrot; Minister of Home Affairs and how he has migrated his military skills. (Note; if you want to see how your friends have migrated their skills you should be able to on their profile page if they have already done it)

Here Betafoxtrot has decided to focus on his Artillery Skill, but has spread out 45% of his skills to Tank, Air unit and Rifle.

How points are calculated

The way this is calculated is similar to economic skills. Your current strength corresponds to a certain number of days you trained in eRepublik. The admins will convert the strength into the number of days you trained. This will be used in the new module and the amount of military skill points is based on days you have trained. The booster benefits will not be lost but will be considered as extra training days (eg: one day trained with Napoleon counts as three trained days)

Example I have 18.04 strength which would equal to a similar figure to my Working stats (as I don't use Lana) so I expect 18.04 is about 330 days. This would give me 330 military points.

The open beta

Just a quick message about the beta. It is now open for anyone to have a go at. The URL is here
. When you begin you start off with 40 gold. (This will not be kept; once Version 2 starts all of the cash you have from Version 1 will be moved over) When the admins launch the official version 2, the only server taken into consideration for migrations will be the current V1, so don't forget to work, train, etc. All skills gains, money, actions, articles, migration decisions, absolutely everything you do on beta server will be erased!

Thats all for now. Have fun Migrating and playing on the Version 2 beta server! 😃
