[MoFA] UK PM Interview & Alliance Propositions

Many of you probably will not know him but he is a former UK CP and the current Prime Minister Ser Fartsalot. He has been very proactive in helping us deal with Italy along with helping to table our recent pact with the UK.

1. Can you please introduce yourself to Norway?
Thanks for the interview Joshua. Hello everyone, my name is Strahinja and I play this game for over 4 years. I started the game in eSerbia (RL Serb) and after a long time for 2-clicking decided to join the trollish community of the UK.

2. Would you describe the role you helped play in the new rental agreement between the UK and Norway?
The deal was welcomed by almost everyone in the UK but I did play a big part in it with negotiations and formulation of the agreement. Even before the resource wars I was looking at ways of making our relations better and I think this was the perfect time to do it.


3. You have actually helped Norway lots in the past couple months, including during my term. You played mediator between Norway and Italy on a few occasions. Can you tell us why you felt it was important to help us and to forge a new relationship between our two nations who have almost always been at war?


3. There's so many reasons for helping Norway.


1) I don't like countries who mind their own business being permawiped. I think it destroys the communities, makes people play less, leave and eventually it kills the game. Above all, I find it cowardly and unfair for others who are stronger to keep weak countries subjected forever just because they can. This game is a lot more than brute force. It's also about meeting new people, relationships, helping each other out. I'm proud to say I helped many countries get their Congress before, including Venezuela, Cuba, Estonia, Belgium, Ireland etc.



2) I felt responsible for Italy in Scandinavia because we helped them get Congress. They were one of the countries that was wiped repeatedly and since we were also under constant attacks, helping them was in our interest. I'll go even further and say that if there was no help from us, they wouldn't be having Congress for two months and good negotiation position in their NAP deal with Serbia. However, I always insisted that they needed to learn from their own example and let you have Congress. Now that they have a good NAP and secured bonuses, they don't have to spend any resources on wars in the north.



3) I've always seen the potential in making better relations with Norway and I like small communities. Even more importantly, I like to make this game more interesting and dynamic.



4. Bananas or oranges?
Both.

5. Do you think it is possible to further our relationship even more than our current pact? For example hosting joint strikes or perhaps even see us in the same alliance one day?
Everything is possible in this game and with the new friendship between the two countries developing, it wouldn't be surprising to see us broadening our cooperation. About the alliances... I've heard you might be joining a new alliance called "Cucumber"? Tell us more about that Joshua.

6. What is one thing Plato could add to the game to make it better in your opinion?
Tough question since you only ask for one thing... But lets say SMS verification while registering. Also, all present accounts would need to be verified. This wouldn't completely stop the cheating but it would greatly reduce it and make it more of a hassle.

7. Any final words for the Norwegian people?

Alliance Propositions
So as well know Sweden has recently left Asgard leaving us in an alliance of one. Since I found out I got right to work seeing what we could do to find a new alliance, for as a small country like ourselves one is a very lonely number. The new alliance of Orion is not willing to accept any "weak members" so that unfortunately is not an option for us. Other than Orion there was really no other alliances in which we would be able to join.

So that is when we started working with some of our closest ally to found our own new alliance. I cannot go into much details right now but I can tell you that things are looking really good. We started with seven members and are down to four founding members (including us) if we decide to join.

However with a not very active Congress It is in our best interests to wait until after the Congress elections tomorrow so we can have a real debate. I have already been sharing everything with the current Congress but there is not much discussion. After Congress has discussed this we also need to decide if we will have a Congress vote on it or a public referendum and allow all citizens to vote on us joining. I personally would like to see a public referendum on joining but we must wait and see if the rest of Congress agrees with me. I look forward to sharing everything with you in the coming week!
