And, now, an interview with the well-known former French president flasckq!
(Q-questions, A - answer, Special thanks to BrunoCND, who helped us with the translation!)

Q 1. Tell us more about you - who are you ingame? What did you do throughout your eLife? Also, how did you learn about eRepublik and why did you start playing it?
A 1: Hello everyone 🙂
So IRL, my name is Jean-Philippe, 30 years in September and casual workers (Acting).
IG I’m flasckq, almost 3 years and former politician. I held for many months the Ministry of Solidarity (= Department of Health and Education), several times congressmen including one time president of Congress, 7 times vice president and president once. Following this long elife I'm now retired and serves on the Constitutional Council (= supreme court).
I also had the opportunity to be the leader of the French special forces and Commander of the army. Besides this, I develop a lot in the Role Playing with a great eFamily. Following a period of unemployment, I was surfing the internet aimlessly until it fell upon the biggest French game site video (jeuxvideo.com) and a news brought me in eRepublik. Because at that time political activist IRL I immediately saw the opportunity to write the eHistory and especially I had the chance to meet when I started wonderful people who make me feel at home 🙂

Q 2/3. By the time you registered, what was the situation in eFrance? (Political/Military/Social). How would you describe eFrance now? What is the difference between now and then? Is there a positive change?(If yes, what is it?/ If no, why?)
A 2/3: When I signed, France had an average power (like today) but 10 days later we experienced a strong baby boom (more than 10 000 registered) and got back in the big leagues. Moreover it was the time where PEACEgc dominated totally Atlantis and Fortis and France occupied a part of Canada and Spain.
Although golden age to start, it's always easier to start winning.
Politically, the PSD while the main party was in decline and opinions of each other clear-cut.

France remains a middle power with a very uncomfortable location. Indeed we are a crossroads of European and American powers and the possession of the only regions of Western Europe rubber causes constant attacks.
In short the eFrance is a very unstable country militarily speaking, constantly at war.
There are no major changes between now and 3 years ago, our country is too small to contain his powerful neighbours.
I would say that when our alliance dominates our economy is almost as prosperous and when our alliance is dominated so it's really a hassle: D
After you have to be honest, the game has changed so much since I arrived that attempt to make comparisons may be hazardous.

Q 4. What was your best moment in eFrance so far? And your worst? Why?
A 4: The highlight was undoubtedly the beginning of 2011 when France was ruined following the theft of Lyne Faynel (more than 3000G) and we were occupied by Spain. We were at the time of the commando groups of resistance by sabotaging the Spanish companies (working with the wellness lowest possible) and beating us against a very tough opponent. This has stimulated cleartly mutual support and camaraderie, it is in adversity that the true nature of people is revealed.
The worst? Could not have kept the 10 000 new arrivals in August 2009. We clearly missed an opportunity to be a power in eRepublik. Instead of that we remain a negligible force, making himself regularly invaded and humiliate😛 (

Q 5. What were things you wanted to accomplish when registered in eRepublik? And now, looking into the past, did you fulfill your goals?
A 5: Quite honestly I had no particular ambitions by enrolling. eRepublik is my first MMO, so I did not especially had goals, just the desire to discover the world of online gaming.
(Secretly I wanted to do a little politics, I never imagined having such elife: D)
Originally the goal was to have fun and meet quality people and friendly. The objective is completely filled, I met great people that I now considered my friends 🙂
The community is also the only thing that make me stay in the game (Plato is just too greedy), like many old I think.

Q 6. How would you describe/rate your term as president? What's your proudest achievement during your term?
A 6: Let us not modest, I think my term as president was good.
The geopolitical situation was totally in favour of Teden, which allowed us to free up a lot of regions and invade a sustainable southern England. From the point of view "accounting" I'm lucky because having received a very favourable situation (imagine having 20% of GDP growth IRL, with that impossible to go wrong: D)
I also had the chance to have a government where all the remarkable ministries were working. You should know that a single person on eRep a lonely person can not do anything, even if she’s the best one.
Personally I'm not good but I was lucky to be surrounded by really competent people. My pride is unquestionably have kept my biggest campaign promise: spend Christmas in London: P
Indeed I had promised during the campaign not to make demagoguery and focusing on the attack whiles the UK.

Q 7. What is your personal opinion of eBelgium? Have you ever thought of coming here?
A 7: Hehe I love Belgium, I have also been a citizen at home a few months in 2011 🙂
Simply because I met Elynea (then minister to France) and I was touched by her kindness.
The welcome received during my stay was very pleasant and I keep your community happy memories. Being anti-imperialist you suspect ideologically I'm pretty close to a neutral country not aggressive like yours 😉

Q 8. What do French players think of eBelgium? How would they rate it from 1 to 10?
A 8: The French players are struggling to understand your concept of neutrality on a game based almost exclusively on the war.
So it's hard to love something that you do not understand.
Then our neighbour eBelgium is the lowest, so when you go to war are eager for action, it is tempting to attack you to get victories "easy". Still, the eFrench community has a lot of Belgians IRL (which my friends maloune and Kinea or my eSon Tungo) so the active people have a very positive opinion of eBelgium.
The two clicks I think they do believe in nothing, neither good nor evil.
As a note I will therefore 5/10.

Q 9. Is there anything else you would like to tell us?
A 9: A final word to emphasize the importance of community. Whether by MP, on the forum, on IRC, even IRL, eRepublik covers the entire spectrum of the society, from the crazy teen 15 years to the engineer of 40 years father in a family.
Thus one can meet many different people and this is the true wealth of this game
Thank you for your attention and take care 😉

That’s all for now, see you soon!
