[MoF] Training Grounds Project

Hello Ireland,
today I’m announcing the first Ministry of Finances project for the current term. As already mentioned in the last article we are going to fund Irish citizen’s Training Ground upgrades. It won’t happen today, we’re going to do it when the Training Ground sales starts.

GOAL

This article is being written now so we can prepare and create requirements and criterium for recieving State’s gold. We still can’t afford to spend a lot, so don’t expect some spectacular donations, I don’t want to harm our treasury long termly, but I do wish to see stronger and richer Irish citizens. Long termly, investing in people’s Training Grounds is the only profitable thing to do for both country and an individual. We all need to focus on investing in ourselves, not only in the game, but also in real life. We’re always trying to pick best solutions and we’re taking the consequences of our decisions. Luckily, there’s always someone to correct our wrong decisions and encourage our good decisions. Well, not always, at least not in real life. But, that’s why Erepublik is a good game, we’re not playing Real Life.

REQUIREMENTS

Some requrements I wanted to focus on are:
-Being Irish citizen for at least 2 months
-Having more than 300 strenght
-Being active member of the community ( IRC, forums, comments, articles etc.)
-Sending us Screenshot of current Training Ground levels
-Signing a contract with the State.
-Being member of Irish Military Unit

Why those requirements?
Well, we definitly don’t want to send any money to multies, that’s why the strenght level, we could’ve raise the bar higher, but that would exclude many actual new players just because we’re sometimes too suspicious. Being an Irish citizen for at least two months is a sign someone haven’t came here just to suck up our reserves or to gather our flag in his true patriot history. Our goal is to help those who will stick here for a longer than few days or weeks. Being an active member of community is probably the most important requirement. We do not want to help 2-clickers, or those who randomly picked eIreland as their country. Of course, there’s many of those who can’t be here all the time, but if they used to be active in our community, if they are our long time citizens then there’s no reason why not help them, old grumpy soldiers can’t say goodbye to this interesting game.

Sending a screenshot of your Training Grounds is extremely important. For example, those who still haven’t upgrades their free TG will have advantage over those who need only one more upgrade for all TG’s maximized.

A contract with the State will mean that each citizens which takes a loan will need to return the loan to a country in case of leaving eIreland. We don’t want to help citizens who want contribute to eIreland. There’s no point of making our gold leave our shores. Of course, being a member of Irish Military Unit is another, reasonable requirement.

As you can see, those requirements are now only suggested, but not exactly set. We will need to do this together, I’ll be happy to see your suggestions and I will ask the Congress for their opinion as well. Country’s money is everyone’s money and that’s the reason we need to make a legit and good decision over how to set up our requirements. Each requirement will be highly important, also for example, the current Training Ground situation could be rated in points. For example, if someone has all the Training Grounds on minimum level and its long time Irish citizen he shall recieve maximum amount of points. This can’t be said for a citizen with all TG’s on minimum who is here only for two weeks. We need to think about how to set our priorities.





BUDGET

The budget for this project haven’t been decided yet, we need to see how big our profit is going to be in the coming days and we need to make sure not to spend more than we can afford. This is extremly important for the future of our money balance. We won’t spend more than we can cover until the end of term. If TG’s sales pops out tommorow, we won’t rush into it without a plan or requirements, we will simply skip it and wait for the next one.

Budget could be decided in about a week, or a few days more.


DONATIONS

Maximum amount of donations depends of how many days Sales are going to last. If we get 48 hours sales the maximum donation will be 20 golds. If it lasts for 72 hours the maximum donation is going to be 30 golds. Since this is going the be the first project of this kind we need to make sure to stay rational. We can use this project as a sort of a test to see how good this could turn out. Maybe next time we start giving gold away before the sales start so the maximum donation per person might get higher over the sales after the next one.







PRE-APPLICATIONS

Are you interested in recieving State gold? Then, you should definitly apply for them! Each citizens which fills the form which will be able to be found at the end of this paragraph will be messaged once requirements are being decided. This way, we will be able to see how many citizens will actually apply. By filling the pre-application you will recieve some advantage over those who don’t do it, simply because you’re going to help to make a good informed decision and set up correct budget. It won’t be the biggest advantage, but even the slight one might help you recieve more golds.

OTHER FINANCIAL NEWS

-Gold rate has been pretty stable recently, it keeps lurking around 220 IEP per 1 gold, just a little bit less.

-We already have nine offers through our National Organisation on the Monetary Market, we will increase the number in the coming days.

-We’re analyzing the current Taxes and soon the new Taxes policy is going to be proposed. You can expeect protecting the Irish producers and securing us lower prices of food and weapon.

-I’m still considering few other methods which could make us some money, those needs to be further analysed so we’re sure to make a good decision.

-Congress has passed the budgets for Irish Army and MPP’s with a 100% Yes vote so far.

-Irish Army has completely moved to a new way of suppling and we’re not paying any kind of WRM bills anymore. First shipment of weapons has been sent and we’re expecting to recieve first cash shipment from IA.
