[MoCH] Day 2147 Introduction to the otaku culture and 1 contest.

Day 2,147, 07:48 Published in Japan Japan by Sir Robin Ibz

Hi there, first of all, I'd like to introduce the plans for MoCH this month.

The goal of the MoCH this month is to increase activity on the media by making articles with some Japanese culture and contests which would have some prizes. We will also host the oldest tradition in eJapan, the Empress day.

Today we're making a introduction into the otaku culture. The word otaku, originally means outcast in Japanese, but lately it has adquired a new meaning and is commonly used to talk about a person who loves Japanese comic(manga) and animation(anime). Usually, otakus also love videogames.

The most amazing thing about otakus, is that despite of the original meaning of the word, they love to go outside of their houses and make conventions, at some countries, every city hosts an otaku convention at least once every year. And you'd be amazed if you saw how many people goes there with a cosplay. Here you can see some cool cosplays.

Who doesn’t like pokemon now?

Kamina would be proud of this cosplay

I took this picture myself from my cellphone, excuse the low quality, but this is one of the best cosplays I’ve ever seen.

At these conventions, you can do a lot of things, Sing your favorite opening at a karaoke, win the otaku quiz, dance hare hare yukai, play videogames, role games, eat ramen, buy merchandising from the anime you love or just enjoy and watch the cosplays are some of all the things you can do there.

That’s why I recomend everyone to go to the closest anime convention they have even if they don’t love anime, it’s worth it as getting in is usually cheap and you’ll have a lot of things to see and a whole new world to discover.

As we’re talking about conventions, today’s contest will be made with the poster of one of them as it amazed me.

This is the poster for 19th “salon del manga de Barcelona” and when I saw it, I couldn’t stop trying to find out which was each one, and that’s what you will have to do!

Here you have it with numbers, so we know what you’re answering to.

Rules:

1 Every correct answer means 1 point.
2 Being the only one who answers correctly any of the pics will get an extra point.
3 I don’t know every single anime in the picture, that’s why I might ask for a picture which proves you’re right in some cases.
4 You don’t have to send all your answers at once, but you can’t edit any.(This means, you can send first from 1 to 10 and later you can send the rest, but you can’t change the answers you’ve already given.

Send answers on PM to Sir Robin Ibz.
