Join the new world

Author’s Note: Originally, I was asked not to run in game or rally the USA. Once the PP candidates decided to give the UIP PP Primary the finger, I decided it was time to put up this post. It’s a slightly altered version of what I posted on the UIP forum. Enjoy!

For about a year, people have been asking me to come back to the UIP. Well, here I am. There's a long story that I have to tell that explains why I'm running for UIP PP.

History Lesson

A long time ago, I was your PP and a lot of other things ... like VPOTUS, CoS, and the Congresswoman from Alaska. I have always had a philosophy regarding a balance of structure and fun. If you lose the fun, you're not doing it right. When scrabman took over the USA, this place was no longer fun. I spent a year traveling abroad to places far and wide. I was Queen of England beside my eLove, GLaDOS. I fought in Portugal alongside euphonix and Arthk, proudly adorning my Care Bear avatar. I worked on foreign politics in Japan. I even went back to the eUK for a while to hang out with Dish and the UKRP.

I was weary of the USA, and I came back to the USA while I was in the process of giving my account to the newly banned Emerick, who instead took on the persona of gagah. I quickly made a new group of friends with what you commonly refer to as Old SEES. The UIP I knew was that but of a distant memory, so I proudly stepped up alongside my brother and new cohort in SEES. There, I met a lot of people that touched my heart and naughty places.

But, the last time I truly felt at home, I was in the UIP, and Ansen was UIP PP. Ever since then, I have been relatively jaded with party politics and have been searching for a home. Most of the time, I think I've almost found it ... and then I realize something's still not right. So, I decided that I would come back and give the UIP another try.



This was really my first home in the eUSA. Justinious McWalburgson III brought me to the then UCP, and along with a ton of really great party members (ranging from Angrr to Jewitt to NoneSuch to One Eye) we made the UIP one of the most respected parties in the eUS. How did we do this? A focus on party fun (our key component), no party politics (our main philosophy was that we could all be different but function as one), classic media, and organization. We sent amazing Congresspeople in term after term, and even though our non-traditional approach to party politics was not shared by the rest of the USA, we were ultimately respected because we were able to offer talent to the eUS. Ever since then ... WHAT THE FUDGECICLE HAPPENED TO MY UIP?

It’s Time for Change

Over the last few years, the UIP became a laughing stock of eUS politics. Why? Our image went down the toilet. After the gay pride campaign that was paid for by the UIP (which was very hilarious), the UIP became known as the gay party. This is a stigma that cannot be removed, and the severity of its effects on the negative party image is only compounded by much of the behavior that happens within #uip. When the comeback for the UIP is "we aren't the gay party" followed by little else, it makes this party look like it has little to offer the rest of the eUSA. There are quality players here, and the party has been relatively healthy in terms of membership for quite some time ... but what we need is a serious face lift. (Insert Joan Rivers jokes here.) We need to boost our image by working smarter than the other Top 5 parties and remind the eUSA that we are more than just the “gay party,” and I have no doubt that we can do that.

It’s Question Time

Haven't I been afk for a while? Sure. I have a thing called IRL. I'm not a college or high school student. I work 45 hours a week or so, and I'm a little bit older than I look. However, this makes me boss at delegation, organization, and task management. Just call me ‘Miss Independent.’ IRL, my job is actually member recruitment and engagement and running social media outlets. I have a lot of skills that I use in my big kid time out there in the real world.

Does this mean I can't be an effective PP? No. I actually developed a retention, recruitment, marketing, and elections strategy for a party not very long ago. It's still sitting in my brain because I never executed it nor gave it to my former party. Honestly, I won't detail it in public because it doesn't work if I lay it out in detail for the entire USA to see before we start execution. The best laid plans are kept somewhat close to the vest. This means I’ll be pro at organizing and delegating the best talent we have to offer to mobilize our strategy. I am also somewhat of a master of recruitment; after all, I did get One Eye to join the UIP. The UIP needs to be rejuvenated by picking out the best and brightest new, upcoming talent to help us reach for the top.

How can I be a PP when I've been so absent? This is precisely why I'm a good choice. I'm familiar with what's at the core of this party because I've been around since it was created in this image. Considering that this party has not been taken seriously as of late, it would be in the party's best interest to give it a new but familiar face to take it on a new journey in the right direction. Plus, lolworthy times and community will never go away because our cabinet will be ... The Guild. (See: http://www.watchtheguild.com/)

Why am I running for UIP PP? It’s simple. I’m selfish, and I want my own little family back, so I’m exercising my right as a Betafag and citizen of this nation to run for PP. Sure, the people of the party have changed, but at the core, this place has always been the same. Now, I want to make us the strongest unit that it has been in years and take it back towards the forefront of American politics. Utilizing our in house technology team, I want to return the UIP to its roots of innovation and community building.



Why should you vote for me? You’re voting for a fresh perspective and someone that will keep it real. As we say in NYC, there’s no future in frontin’. I could have come in here and tried to sugar coat the state of the union, but I would rather be up front with you in the assessment of the party from a national level and that I plan to make changes for the betterment of the party. Now, you have a choice to make. You can continue on the path of being a party that is never taken seriously, or you can vote for change at this juncture and work towards building a better, faster, stronger UIP. The choice is yours.

The Big Finish

You’ve heard this platform every month for approximately the last 18 months or so. The problem is that nobody has done anything to better or uphold the face of this party since Ansen left in July of 2009. That’s right. Let’s take that in. July of 2009. That was the last time this party saw what was real success. Why? He was the last party president to come out of the OGs of the UIP. Ridiculousness has been allowed to run rampant and nobody has thought about the image of this group. There is a point at which “fun” is actually destructive to the party, and we have continually allowed people to make us look bad instead of kindly reminding them that they are hurting their family. I know I sound rather punitive and not like much of a fun monster, but I guarantee you that during my reign as UIP PP we were really active on this forum fully exploiting the fun section. It’s how we rolled, and it’s still how I roll. After all, AndraX2000 and I started talking about recruitment, and in the last two days, we've grown the party by 40 people or so. We did this while simultaneously talking about porn. Ultimately, a game that is based on socio-political interactions means that you have to understand how to get down to business and have fun doing it. I know how to get down to business, and it’s time.
