[LT] A Strange World

A few days ago, the SFP was something of a pillar of the community. Not to say perhaps, that they were the only examples of an extremely active community, but they were certainly the most vocal about it.
Of course, a few days ago, it would have been “we” were the most vocal about it, but that conversation can wait for another time. Suffice to say, I am where I belong.
I don’t entirely know how to feel about this, so far the responses of the SFP members in congress have been tersh and formal. Despite their best efforts to appear to the contrary, I don’t believe any of them expected a witch hunt this intense as to include almost every active congressmen.
There’s not all that much I can say about the madness occurring in congress, or the absolute insanity of the Bear Cavalr’s actions, or the absolute ludicrousness that was Gnilraps’ campaign, but I’d simply like to put forward this:
While you’re voting to blacklist, or supporting your congressman’s plan to vote to blacklist, some of the members of the anti-dictatorship revolution, remember, not all of those people were actively contributing more than pennies’ worth of damage to the battle, not all of them knew the consequences of their actions, none of them thought that donating to their MU would get them blacklisted, most of them didn’t think this would turn into a congressional witch-hunt against them.
There’s plenty of innocent victims of the SFP’s propaganda machine (not derogatory, they’re really good at what they do), this was portrayed as a good and noble action, to help save the country from itself, and to bring back democracy along with player involvement.
Laws were broken yes, but nobody wants to end up like the real United States Justice System. Yes the people involved deserve to be punished, and no this should never happen in such a despicabley undemocratic way as this again, but a blanket blacklist with no hope of a fair trial for each individual is simply evil.
If you care at all about preserving the balance of our community, at least advocate support for giving each of these members a temporary ban from congress until they can be individually tried for their actions. At least we might not have a very angry minority of the community in the SFP ravenous for revenge this way, and damage control is just as important as punishment.
Thank you for your attention, it's been too long.

LOL. The Black List is the new Cool Kids Club. I think maybe this turn is a (somewhat silly) example of what Galeano called 'the pettiness of the big'.
Oh well. History never really says goodbye, does it? History says, 'See you later.'
For you perhaps, but I imagine there are a handful of people on it who aren't too pleased to be on it
+1 😛
Great article!
I would love to remove the blacklist of everyone who wishes to rejoin the community. I guarantee the Feds will vote for that. This, to me, was merely an issue of laws being enforced.
I'm incredibly glad your voice exists in this community, however, great article.
I've certainly been known to be overly dramatic before, this could be no different, thank you 🙂
Excellent writing as always and reasonable arguments as well. o/
Meh, stuff happens.
