^.^ [Inwegen4POTUS] Voters of America, a Moment of Your Time ^.^

Day 1,137, 08:18 Published in USA USA by PrincessMedyPi

When Max Wallingbottom III asked me to come back to the game, I came back to this game with my only intention to help Walli-san rebuild S.E.E.S. But, once I got back into the game and started reading the media and the forums, I started to see that America was in trouble. At a time of serious need, I noticed that we have a serious deficit of talent. I have been making notes and comments around the eUSA as of late with regard to such a problem. Currently, we have a lot of really strong players with domestic experience … but they often lack foreign policy experience, the leadership quality/persona of a POTUS, or both. When I saw this, I knew it was time to help fix the problem.

Looking Back

Going back through my time I spent here, I tried to figure out what went wrong. When I was around in the Executive from late ’08 to early ’09, we had a stellar system of training the new, rising talent to fill the shoes of the oldfags. We worked as a group and led by example. We empowered the new stars of the game to inject new ideas (that were often stellar in terms of innovation and use of mechanics) into the nation and helped them learn to successfully implement new programs and processes. But more than anything, we taught them how to network, build their leadership skills, and develop their public personas. We did this by assigning them as deputies to department heads and putting them in ground level jobs. Through this process, we strengthened America by always having a fresh batch of young, new leaders working in the wings, just waiting to make it on stage.

After my time in the Executive, a backlash against older players increased by newer citizens who wanted into the fold. I don’t blame them because it’s boring if you feel like you can’t participate. However, over the last year and a half, I’ve noticed that something is starting to lack in many of the new leaders: they lack the persona and widespread knowledge to effectively innovate, inspire, and lead the country into the future. At a time of alliance changes that will fundamentally change the face of foreign relations in the USA, this is simply unacceptable. America needs a strong leader with ties to current politicos from across the globe to make sure that we are successful in our fight to maintain national security.

What’s The Big Deal?

When I was up late at night a few days ago, Inwegen and I were having a conversation about this. I wish I had the logs, so I could post them for you, as often times they were injected with whimsy and humor. But, in all seriousness, we wanted to figure out why people have been less than impressed by lackluster candidates for many of the terms over the past year, so we really started hashing it out. What I wrote above is pretty much our assessment of the current situation. This is why I encouraged Inwegen to finally run for POTUS.

He has been involved in eUS politics for years, and the vast majority of it has been on an Executive level. He has witnessed the ups and downs of presidencies and has learned from many of the successes and blunders of past administrations. Currently, he is being kept abreast of one of the most pressing issues facing our nation today: PANAM. While he has been less than involved in the media over the years, he has been a stellar at providing strategy and guidance to many of America’s favorite presidents. Wiggy has been more behind the scenes and mostly a foreign policy guy, and what is undoubtedly his strongest asset is also his biggest flaw. Inwegen (due to the nature of most of his work) has been quiet in the media and focused less on domestic affairs. However, this is a term when the rest of the cabinet can really beef up domestic policy and media attention, and that’s why he chose both CRoy and I to be highly placed in his cabinet and Gulden Draak to be his SoM.

What’s So Special About You Guys, Anyway?

I’m not usually one to toot my own horn, unless I have to defend my qualifications and the capabilities of my administration. My first Executive job was building the Welcoming Committee from the ground up. After two terms of doing so, I was VPOTUS. During that time, I created the Department of Citizen Affairs (what is now call the Department of Interior). This housed a newly reenergized Department of Education and a blossoming Mentoring Program. The next term, when I served as Uncle Sam’s CoS, AidenAstrup and I successfully developed and campaigned for the implementation of Meals on Wheels. If there is one thing I can say I am most proud of in all of the years playing this game, it is the legacy I left behind in domestic affairs. That being said, I know I’m a bit rusty in the game.

If you take my previous domestic experience, mix it with a man of the people who has serious media glitz and glamor (CRoy), and an up and coming political star who has a pulse on the new players of today (HobbitTon), magic is surely bound to happen. It is my own personal goal in January to help revive the process of cultivating domestic talent, reinvest the two-clickers of the community by reevaluating and reenergizing current domestic programs, and revitalize our community by bringing new, fresh ideas to the table and trying something new with an amazing group of talent. And who better than to lead the media charge that educates and excites you all about our nation than the man with a Gulden tongue himself, Gulden Draak.

With the team that we have put together, I am confident that we can successfully complement Inwegen’s foreign policy and strategy skill set. I cannot wait to help lead the charge to invigorate this community, but it’s up to you to vote and make it happen. Give America the gift of a reenergized citizenship this New Year. Vote Inwegen/CRoy for January ’11.

Mellie
