[IA] Perpetual Money

Day 1,647, 22:16 Published in South Africa South Africa by Miyagiyoda

The Tax Reforms I pioneered have have proven their worth over the last month. Never has South Africa been so prosperous. Our Dear Leader™ is embarking on finding a way to put this extra free money to good use.

Funded MUs or Soldiers?
Or the Polish model. Let's face it, when it comes to optimising eRep economies our Polish frienemies are usually ahead of the pack. The principle is simple: government pays you for you damage. While this sounds sweet, it becomes a problem of purpose in South Africa.

Let's face it, we're not exactly under any direct threat with Brazil and Australia our close allies and neighbours. So what other purpose would such an extravagance serve? Player retention and activity generation. You are being rewarded for making a mark in battles. You bring a reward to your MU for managing you well. You are encouraged to join a South African MU. Its all win. The only real issue is whether to pay soldiers directly or via their MU.

I am biased, but I support soldier reimbursement. Whether we fight for a SA MU or a foreign power, we are ultimately still South African citizens, generating tax in the local economy. All our battles are for allies anyway - so why be pedantic? I would go as far as to split the monies so that you have one for MUs to encourage performance and a direct one to citizens.

Tax Rebate
Our Aussie buddies are known for a more direct approach to things. They said screw the paperwork, and divide the surplus money government cannot use equally among every citizen via the forums.

This is more cunning than a very cunning thing indeed. It achieves many objectives in a very simple manner.
- all citizens have incentive to register for the forum
- multies lose for once
- it acts as a poll for active citizens in the community

The beauty of the system is that everyone gets to decide how to spend their money as they need best. Old and young benefit, with the young receiving the most in relative terms.

Perpetual Money Machine
The system also feeds itself. The economy wins with an injection of more goods via new companies. The increased turnover of goods bought by the bot generates more VAT for the next rebate. The only caveat is the continually falling prices of goods in a race to maximise the value we extract before this current house of cards comes tumbling down.

Its unsustainable. We know it. They know it. Let's milk it for its worth until the next economic crisis.

So why vote for Miyagiyoda?
Erm... I have a stream of ideas that will keep Congress reeling and out of you face until next term?
I show up for work.
I value pragmatism over ideology every single day of the week.
My winning smile.
