Join the new world

Introduction

I hope you all have enjoyed an initial chance to fight for the UK once again after a little bit of an absence. Again this update will concentrate on 'war' as it continues to take over this term. It'll also continue to be fairly brief however hopefully providing you the right level of detail required without too much words to plough through.

Our war with Canada

Our ground offensive into Newfoundland and Labrador it's success followed immediately by an attack into Prince Edward Island was successful in providing support to our allies and friends; Albania (airstrike), Pakistan (resistance war) Turkey and Croatia (ground offensives in Pakistan) by drawing damage and combat orders. However unfortunately where attacks in the east were successful on the large part this success came at the cost of defeats in the west, in the form of the Albanian airstrike (the immense effort put into this is something all can be proud of despite the defeat) and our our attack on Prince Edward Island.

The defeat at Prince Edward Island has handed the Canadians the initiative. While I write this there is a Canadian offensive to reclaim Newfoundland and Labrador and their Congress consider approval of setting ourselves as their natural enemy. The success at Prince Edward Island by the Canadian forces can be partly attributed to the timing of our attack (required to continue the damage draw) however mostly due to the extensive use of combat orders. The next few days will be interesting and once again will provide our citizenry the chance to earn true patriot progress. It may come down to combat orders as in a straight fight our forces will prevail however with the use of combat orders Canadian forces may succeed if they are willing to spend. Allies on both side of course will also play their part, I would like to thank all our allies I saw hitting for the UK. As mentioned in my last update our Ministry of Defense will have a budget available to use combat orders to defend our core regions.

I'll end with some praise for the Canadian forces and their allies, while combat orders played their part, you can not fault the effort, commitment, dedication and organisation witnessed to manage this multi-front conflict so impressively. So my respect is given as it was well earnt.

Our training war with Belgium

The Belgians are going to propose their natural enemy law proposal on us on Day 2,526. I'm aware this will be a slight damage drain however the Belgian were kind enough to agree to a training war so I'd like to honour our side of the bargain. If the Belgians start to drain too much of our damage we'll re-assess our ability to have a direct war with Canada at the same time of a training war with Belgium.

- Mutual Protection Pacts

Poland

A straight-forward renewal of a very long standing MPP agreed by myself and my cabinet and Congress. Our great friendship with Poland means very little consideration was required.

Ukraine and Lithuania

Discussions with my cabinet, Congressional consultation and diplomatic talks with my presidential counterparts will be stared soon regarding a renewed MPP with both Countries.
