Nieuw Wetboek eNederland
Op 27 augustus 2011 zijn de discussies gestart ten doeleinde het Wetboek van eNederland te vervangen, dit aangezien het Wetboek destijds verouderd, incompleet en te veel zaken over liet aan discussie. Op 3 oktober zijn de inhoudelijke discussies afgerond waarna deze zelfde dag een congres stemming is gestart voor het aannemen van de nieuwe wettekst. De stemmingsronde had een looptijd van 24 uur waarin het congres de voorgestelde tekst kon goed- of afkeuren.
Alle nieuwe voorgestelde hoofdstukken voor het Wetboek zijn goedgekeurd, met uitzondering van Hoofdstuk 4 betreffende de Senaat. Het afkeuren van dit hoofdstuk heeft tot gevolg dat de oude wettekst wordt behouden in ongewijzigde vorm.
Alsmede is het nieuwe Wetboek van eNederland vanaf 5 oktober 0.00 uur van kracht.
Het congres heeft over de volgende 5 hoofdstukken gestemd, waarbij 75% van de stemmen voor de wetswijziging behaald moesten worden voor de grondwet en een reguliere meerderheid voor de overige hoofdstukken om de wijziging rechtsgeldig te maken.

New Lawbook eNetherlands
On August 27, 2011, discussions started with the purpose of replacing the Lawbook of eNetherlands as it was out of date, incomplete and too many things left open for discussion. On October the 3rd, the substantive discussions ended and the same day the vote started for the adoption of the new law. The round of voting ran for 24 hours in which the Congress could approve or disapprove the proposed new Law.
All new chapters proposed for the Lawbook were adopted, except for Chapter 4 concerning the Senate. The rejection of this chapter means that the old Law is preserved in unaltered form.
As of 5 October 0.00hr, the new Lawbook of eNetherlands is in effect.
The Congress has voted on the following five chapters, where 75% of the votes was met for the constitution and a majority of the votes for the other chapters in order for the amendments to be accepted.

Chapter IV has been accepted, but not the form originally proposed to Congress, but a literal copy of the old text. Minor correction. 😁

@Zen Mahong/atsanjose: Sort of, but not factually right. The article states that because of the rejection of the first draft, the old text of Chapter IV was 'preserved in unaltered form'. That is impossible, because 1) there was no Chapter IV before this one (the text that now forms Chapter IV was part of the old Constitution, which was replaced by the new Chapter I) and 2) the old one was not automatically 'preserved', but voted on in Congress. Quite a difference! (Yes, writing the damned thing has made me a horrible legal nitpicker! 😁)
